Autumn's POV
" Mom ? " I said
I heard nothing but sniffling. I noticed an envelope on the floor but, I payed no attention to it.
" Mom, what happened ? " I asked worried. Maya had walked downstairs and came back upstairs with a glass of water for my mother. She didn't even take it, she continued to cry.
" Mom speak to me .. please " I begged.
" My husband ! My dear husband ! " was all she could say through tears, of course.
" .. What happened to dad ? " I said nervous.
Maya rubbed my mother's back. I started to cry. " What happened to my dad !? " I yelled. I started crying, no, I miss my dad so much, where is he ? What's wrong ?
" Mom can you please tell me what happened to my dad ? " I said, in between sniffles.
" I'm getting scared Maya " I said.
Maya picked up the envelope off the floor and read it, her eyes started to water. She looked at me in sorrow. She handed me the note.
I read it.
" Dear Bale Family,
We are sorry to inform that Mr. Greg Bale has passed in our military. He was shot and we're sending our condolences. We are truly sorry for your lost. "
I stared at the note.
" .. Dad "
