A/N: Hey yo! Al here I'm still doing my thesis but I will still be updating this story. This is a continuation of Mason's POV
I still couldn't sort out my thoughts by Monday.
I stood in front of my locker, retrieving the book I'd need for my first subject, which is AP Calculus.
Yeah the horror, nothing says 'kickass start to the week' like advanced calculus at eight in the morning.
If someone see me right now, they would think that I'm excited for school since I'm way too early, which is bullsh*t.
I only came here early because I still don't want to see Jason, he would always drive me to school because I don't have a car, which right now, I wish that I had one.
I would even settle for my mom's car but she would not let me have it the whole day even when she works from home because apparently, she might need to drive to the office or somewhere.
I have 3 AP subjects this fall semester and two of my AP class shares the same schedule with Jason.
Meeting him in class will probably be awkward especially that I ditch him this morning.
Jason texted me 5:45 AM this morning asking if I'm ready to talk which I never replied to and left him on read.
I came early just in case he goes to my house and wait for me, good thing he left me alone on Sunday to gather my thoughts but I still don't know how to act in front of him.
The time right now is 6:35 AM and the hall looks deserted, I mean who would be the lunatic to go to school at this hour, yeah that's me apparently.
In our school classes usually starts at 8:00 AM and ends in 3:00 PM, unless you do some extra curricular activities like me.
I look around the school because I was bored, the school really is huge and if you are new here you will probably, no surely get lost.
There are a lot of posters hanged on the walls that says 'Homecoming Dance', it's still early September and that shit is not until mid-October but it's one of the major activity girls are all excited about.
I went to the indoor basketball court and decided to shoot some hoops to pass the time, basketball season is scheduled to start in late November and the team will start practicing this week, football season on the other hand has already started.
Alex and Jason have a game this Friday maybe I could cheer them on when I clear my mind a bit and let go of this pettiness.
"You're here early, basketball practice is not until 3:30 in the afternoon" I stop what I was doing and I look at to see the owner of voice.
I found Damien one of my teammates standing in the doorway.
"Oh hey man, I wanted to warm up to make sure I didn't get rusty" I say, he shakes his head and chuckle as he walks closer.
"Mason Sawyer getting rusty on basketball, I find that unbelievable" he says as he snatches the ball from me and start dribbling across the court and do a layup.
This dude is one of my teammates that I can get along with, he is 6 ft 2 and has light dark complexion, he is a cool dude that I don't mind hanging around with.
We stayed there for a bit and talk about things mostly basketball and the incoming practice until the bell ring and we notice that we stayed there for an awfully long time.
"I'll see you around bro" I say as I hurriedly get my things.
"Yeah, see you in English Lit" I forgot that we also share the same schedule on some subject.
