Rowena rolled her eyes at Dodo. "I'm sure you are. Do you have any clue as to who I am?"
"I know exactly who you are. I'm sure the queen will be happy to finally get her hands on you. Word has been going around that you have been on the run, to avoid having to speak with her. Do you have any clue as to how angry you made the queen, by remaining on the run as long as you were?"
"I only did what my older brother told me to do. Naturally in my brother's line of work, he doesn't trust many people...especially when it comes to me. My brother did everything within his power to keep me safe from any potential enemies that my brother may have made along the way. But who doesn't make enemies," Rowena said.
"Those of us who are extremely careful not to piss off the wrong people," Dodo responded before turning his attention to Door Mouse. "Are the spades on their way to pick up our friend here?"
"They are on their way. And they are bringing someone special along with them. Someone who will put this little assassin in her place," Door Mouse said.
"You are aware that he won't be the answer forever. Eventually at some point the truth will come out, and he won't have any control over her after that," Dodo said not realizing that he fully gained Rowena's attention.
What the hell is this bird brain talking about? Is he referring to my older brother and I? What is it that is being kept hidden from me, that nobody else around me doesn't want me to know, Rowena thought to herself.
"Careful what you say around the little lady. She is smart and will most likely figure out what you are trying to say, without actually coming out and saying it," Door Mouse pointed out, causing Dodo to spin on his heel and look at Rowena.
"Are you eaves dropping on my conversation with Door Mouse," Dodo asked.
"If it was such a damn secret, then you should have excused yourselves, or talk more quietly while around me. You two never know who else could be listening to what you are saying," Rowena said in a smart-ass tone.
"Why you little," Dodo began to say, while raising his hand getting ready to smack Rowena.
"If you so much as lay a finger on her head, I will end your life right here right now. So, if I were you, I would think twice about my next move," Mad March said causing Dodo to put his hand down, turning to look at Mad Mach and the spades that were standing behind him.
"I was not aware that you would be accompanying the spades to come and retrieve the young lady. I thought it would be someone else who could control the young woman," Dodo said.
"The queen thought it would be best for my little sister and I have a little happy family reunion," Mad March said.
"Hello brother," Rowena said.
"Greetings sister," Mad March said.
"How much longer are you going to be calling her your sister, especially when she finds out the truth," Dodo asked causing Rowena to look at her brother in confusion.
"What is he talking about brother," Rowena asked.
"Don't worry about what he's saying. This idiot will say anything to distract you and I from the task at hand. If he knows what is good for him, he will keep his damn mouth shut," Mad March warned Dodo. "Come now sister. We have a long journey asked of us."
"Do you have any idea as to what the queen wants with me? Do you have any clue as to why she is so hellbent on her wanting to speak with me," Rowena asked as she made her way to her brother.
"It's not my place to say. You will find out once you make your way back to the casino, that way you may speak with the queen, and find out for yourself," Mad March said before turning and walking away with Rowena and the spades following behind him.
As they were making their way to the casino, Rowena was trying to wrap her head around how her older brother was alive. "How the hell did this happen? How is this even possible right now?'
"What are you talking about," Mad March asked while keeping his sight forward.
"The last I learned; you were dead. I heard that you had your head cut off by the queen. How is it possible that you are here right now, walking alongside me as we make our way to the casino right now," Rowena asked.
"The queen needs me to help take care of somethings that need to be taken care of. There is a pest running around. No more questions. We're almost at the casino. The queen will explain everything once we enter her chambers," Mad March explained as they made their way into the casino. As Mad March led his sister up to the queen's chambers, he was beginning to regret it. Deep down Mad March knew that once Rowena learned the truth about her birth parents, and her true blood brother, she would not look at him the same again. Mad March feared how Rowena would treat him the moment she learns the truth.
If only I could turn around and tell Rowena to run far away from here, just so i could keep this little secret even longer. But I know if I do something to send my little sister away now, it won't end well. I'm just going to have to accept the reaction that Rowena will have, once she learns the truth. This isn't going to end well at all, Mad March thought to himself as he stopped in front of the chamber doors.
"Mad March, what are you waiting for? You know the queen will only grow more and more annoyed if you keep her waiting to speak with the young woman. You don't want the queen to grow annoyed by the fact that you had kept her waiting, do you," one of the spades asked.
"I know what I'm doing. I don't need you to lecture me on what I'm doing," Mad March snapped at the spade, before pushing the door open. Mad March signaled for Rowena to enter the chamber.
Rowena walked in with Mad March and the spades following behind her.
The queen looked up spotting a young woman entering, followed by the spades and Mad March. The queen was about to ask what the meaning of them barging was, but the red queen was cut off by Rowena speaking up.
"You have been tracking me down for quite some time. I never really had a chance to live a peaceful life, because you would send your spades out to retrieve me. You wanted to speak to me so damn bad, here i am. What reason do you have been hunting me down as long as you have? What reason do you have to harass me and not allow me to live peacefully," Rowena asked annoyed.
