Entry #13 (June 17, 1985)

Dear Diary,

I never knew I would meet one of the Gods of Olympus. I feel like I'm dreaming. Is this all a dream? Someone wake me up.

Sincerely,

V

-------------------------------------------------------------

We managed to easily sneak inside Mount Olympus in the middle of the night. Well, it was mostly because of Wrio's influence around here. I mean, he is Zeus' personal knight.

However, there has been a question lingering in my mind ever since he told me he was Zeus' personal knight. Why would Zeus need a personal knight when he can handle himself just fine?

"I've arranged a room for us to stay in while we're here." Wrio's authoritative voice brought me back to my senses.

I took in sight the luxurious room that beholden me. So this is the lifestyle of greek gods and goddesses huh?

Everything in this room was drenched in gold. I mean absolutely everything. From the ceilings, to the walls and floors. To the balcony, the bed, and even the goblet in the desk next to the queen sized bed. It was pretty spacious. The only colorful thing about this room are the fruits that were laid on the glass table which was surrounded by golden chairs. I'm guessing that's a study area.

There was also a golden chandelier in the middle of the room, just like the ones we have at the dorm, except it was a lot shinier.

"How long are we supposed to stay here anyway?"

"Until our mission is over." I stopped taking in the beauty of the room and sighed heavily. Now I'm as lost as I was before. This time I couldn't help but fume in anger and confusion. What else is there to know that I still need to know of?

"Okay, now hold it. This is where you fill me in with every detail I need to know." I huffed and placed a hand on my hip. "First-" I pointed a finger at his chest. "I was thrown here with zero survival skills, no food, money, or extra clothes. Second, I could not summon a pixie, which means I couldn't communicate to any of you. Third, what do you mean I'm inside a book right now? Fourth, I found out there's another Venice somewhere in another universe. Fifth, you're Zeus' knight. Sixth, now we're on a mission-!"

" -Venice, wait-" soft touches crawl against my skin. "Seventh, I wanted to study Anthropology-" I was lost in the trajectory of my own thoughts. "Venice-" But these hands, they calm me. "I was supposed to! My dreams, what about me-"

"Princess, listen to me." I felt rough but gentle hands on my cheeks. Wrio held my gaze. I didn't realize I was fuming so much to the point that I forgot he was in front of me.

My eyes widened when I saw my nails dug the skin on his hand, causing a few droplets of blood to drip on the floor. I felt all the blood in my face being dried out. I immediately retreated my hand.

"I.. I'm sorry. Did I hurt you?" I took a step back. I hurt him? How?

"No.. no, you didn't, princess. Come here." But I couldn't bring myself to. What if I hurt him again?

"I hurt you." How? When did it happen? I didn't know. Is he going to kick me out after this? Am I getting punished? I deserve that. I hurt him, didn't I?

"Venice. Hey. Where are you, princess?" I didn't notice that he was already in front of me. He had his hand in the small of my back, and the other in my chin, he was trying to meet my gaze.

My eyes watered as I took in his worrying gaze. "There you are. Hi." he gave me a small smile, and it was enough to have me melting in his hold.

"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" I cried so hard on his chest. I'm almost sure I heard his heart beating so fast.

"Nothing to be sorry about, princess." his wounded hands were in my hair, stroking it gently as I continued to wail on the floor with him by my side.

Even in the midst of chaos, I managed to find comfort in his hold.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

"You should be mad at me." I told him as I bandaged his wounded hands. We were sitting on the queen sized bed in this room. Right, there was only one bed.

"It's the 16th time you told me that and the 16th time that I will tell you I am not mad at you."

"Wow, you've said 23 words in one sentence for the first time, I'm impressed." I teased. He rarely ever converses even with our teammates. The only words he ever says which aren't even words at this point is when he scoffs or glares. That's just Wrio alright.

He only shook his head but with a little smile on his lips.

"Why is there only one bed if the others will be here soon?" I raised a brow at him. I guess the guys will sleep on the floor and us girls will sleep on the bed. If they're gentlemen enough that is.

"I've arranged for the other furniture to be delivered tomorrow." he explained as he stretched his hand out. "For now, there's only one bed." Tell me why he doesn't look the least bit bothered by our situation right now. I crossed my arms to my chest and raised a brow.

"I can sleep on the couch-"

" -Absolutely not. You sleep on the bed, I can take the couch."

"What? No. You're hurt-"

"What's hurt are my hands, not my back, princess." Plus it doesn't even hurt, it's just a small scratch, I heard him mumble. He doesn't look like he'll change his mind anytime soon. Captain's orders I guess?

Even so, I pouted a little and glared at him. He does have a point there.

"Okay now listen here, princess Venice." he flicked a finger at my forehead. "Oww." I raised my gaze at him while holding my forehead. It doesn't really hurt, I've just been used to overreacting sometimes. I almost laugh at the thought.

"It's time to fill you in with the necessary details of our world." He waved something in the air and a pen suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "This is called a light pen, this allows me to write something in the air." Wrio wrote my name in the air as an example. "You can have one for yourself, but that's for the next lesson."

Wrio started with introducing himself as the Head Captain of the Golds team. I wasn't as shocked when I heard that information because I've already known from the way he carries himself. He does give leader vibes from the very beginning.

"As you already know, Storyland Academy is the school for storytellers, myths, fairy tales, you name it. Everything is possible in this Academy."

"Which means right now-" he stopped writing. "We're inside a book. No erase that, we're in a Parallel Universe of ourselves."

"Wait... so you mean, there's different versions of ourselves out there? In every story or history or fairy tale?" I really think I'm dreaming. There's no way any of this can be real. But one thing about me, I'm a sucker for fairytale and fate combined. I can't deny that I'm actually falling for this.

"That's right, and every time we get transported into these universes, we get a mission." he waved the pen and it vanished into thin air.

"So what's the mission?" I couldn't help but question immediately. Sure enough we're not out here rescuing some cat stuck in a tree branch because we're golds. As they say, golds are for combating. Are we here for war?!

"We're out here to meet the Moirai sisters." he sighed and took a seat next to me. "In hopes to possibly change the future for the people living in this era."

"But Wrio, we can't rewrite history?" There's just no way. This is history we're talking about. It's already written in various books, articles and are already studied by University students back in our world. If I really pursued Anthropology, I would be studying about this as well.

"We can't." He then turned his gaze towards me. There was something about his gaze that gave me goosebumps. "But who says we'll change it ourselves?"
