Lilly POV

This morning I woke up and checked my phone as usual. No message from Louis. But hey at least I got a text from Jesse! I quickly unlock my phone to see what Jesse had texted me. "Hey I'm not gonna be at skl today soz."  I read the text and immediately felt tears rolling down my cheek. Jesse is my only hope and he's not gonna be there for me today. How am I supposed to get through the day if I don't have him with me.

I decided to take a shower and get dressed into comfy clothes. While I was putting on my grey sweatpants and blue hoodie I had an idea, I could try faking sick. I've never done it before so I was nervous as I walked down the hall and down the stairs to go try and convince my mum.

I walked into the living room and I saw my older sister Lottie sitting on the couch just scrolling on her phone. "Lottie?" I asked cautiously because the last time we had talked we got in an argument, and usually it takes a while for her to calm down. "Yes?" She asked not looking up from her phone. "Where's mum?" "She's in the kitchen" she said still not looking at me.

I decided to not say anything else and just go and find my mum in the kitchen. I turned around and walked into the kitchen to see my mum buttering a piece of toast. "Mum?" I said trying to put on a voice making it sound like I was sick. "Yes?" She asked looking up and giving me her full attention...unlike someone 🙄. "Are you ok?" She asked me worriedly as she studied my face. I didn't think I was actually this good at acting that my mum would take one look at me and ask if I was ok. "I don't feel too good." I said walking over and sitting down at the breakfast bar.

"You don't look too good." She replied.

Ok now that's concerning because I feel perfectly fine.

"Are you feeling hot?" She asked me again. After I thought about it for a second I realised I actually was boiling even though it was winter and freezing. "Yeah." I said after realising I hadn't said anything.

My mum walked around the counter and came up to me and put a hand to my forehead. "You're burning up." Was all she said. After a few seconds I asked if I could stay home today and as soon as my mum said that I could stay home, Lottie walked into the room and started demanding why I got to stay home but she couldn't.

At that moment I decided I didn't want to be in the room any more and went back upstairs to my room. I took off my hoodie so I was just in my grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt. I decided to text Jesse and say that it was fine that he wouldn't be at school because neither would I.

Absolutely no hate to Lottie. She'd be a really great sister and she's just a really amazing person in general. ITS JUST FOR THE BOOK. I'm not saying that she's like this in real life, it's just for her character.

Also I know that the ages aren't right because Louis is 6 years older than Lottie in real life, but in this book she's 2 years younger not 6.
