Not Alone
The barren deserts and rocky hills filled Jack's view. He was sitting on his favourite hill in his cybertronian form and watching the scenery in front of him, taking in the beauty of the scenery in front of him.
“Jack.” a familiar feminine voice suddenly called out.
Jack looked behind him, and saw Airachnid coming towards him. “Airachnid.” He greeted her.
Airachnid sat beside him, her optics roaming up and down his form. “You are in your cybertronian form.” She commented.
“Am I not allowed to?” Jack retorted.
“No, it's just odd…” She replied.
Jack looked away from her, and stared back towards the horizon. Seeing his reaction Astrid sighed and placed her servo over his, causing him to look back at her again.
“Jack… You can tell me, you know…” She whispered to him.
“Just…..” Jack looked away, dropping his head,”Just wasn't feeling comfortable in my own skin.”
Airachnid gasped hearing this.
“I just,.... I just don't know who I am, what I am, any more. I know that I'm no longer Jackson Darby. Then what am I? J-just some,.. Some weapon to be used by Silas? Do I-I even have an existence out of all this? I'm, I'm just so lost… ” Jack rambled out, feeling a sense of panic overcoming him.
“Jack!” Airachnid suddenly called out as she leapt up and climbed on top of him, causing him to almost fall back as he prevented his fall by supporting himself on the ground with his arms. Her actions had caused him to snap out of his panicked transe.
Airachnid grabbed his face and made him look at her. “You're not Silas's pet. You're not bound to anyone. You are Jack, the bravest and toughest human I ever knew. And,.... And you are my friend and partner.”
Jack just nodded and looked away. While he didn't say anything, inside he was really glad to hear those words. Never in his life he had imagined that he would hear those words from someone such as Airachnid, but now he was glad to have her by his side.
"You are not alone Jack." Airachnid said, making him look at her once more,"Not anymore. I will always be beside you. No matter what."
Hearing those words, Jack smiled at her and Airachnid smiled back. But then a realisation dawned on them. They were close. Almost too close. Their faces were just inches away from each other. And suddenly, that gap was reduced to zero.
The close distance made it impossible to understand who went first, but Airachnid found herself in a lip lock with Jack, passionately kissing him.
She deepened the kiss as she felt his hands on her body, trying to embed the feeling in her mind. She fully expected Jack to push her away, and tried to focus only on the feeling of his lips against hers, so that she could
But to her surprise, Jack's arms wrapped around her body and pulled her closer as he leaned into the kiss, deepening it.
Minutes later, they both separated, gasping and sucking in air to rapidly cool down their systems.
“Jack…”
“Airachnid…”
They gasped each other's name, without breaking eye contact.
“I love you.” She whispered before leaping for his lips again.
They shared another brief kiss before Jack pulled away. “Heh,” He smirked,“I love you too, my dear Airachnid.”
