Marcus looked contemplative, his mind already swirling with thoughts and possibilities. "We need to follow up on this lead right away," he said, his voice filled with determination. "Every moment could be crucial."

The other Agent nodded in agreement, already mentally preparing themselves for the long night and the work ahead. They knew that following up on an anonymous tip could be a wild goose chase, but it was worth the effort if it meant getting closer to bringing justice to the victims and catching the person responsible.

Outside the room, Marcus and the other Agent were unaware of my eavesdropping. They were focused on discussing the details of the anonymous tip and coordinating their next moves.

Marcus spoke in a low voice, making sure to keep the conversation private and away from any prying ears, "We need to check out the park as soon as possible. If the person who made the call saw something suspicious, we could finally have a break in this case."

The other Agent nodded in agreement, his expression serious. "We should also look into who made the call. An anonymous tip can be useful, but we still have to be careful. It could be a hoax or prank call."

Marcus acknowledged the point, his expression thoughtful. "You're right. We need to verify the caller's identity and their connection to the case before we take any action. We can't afford any false leads or dead ends."

He continued, "In the meantime, we'll coordinate a search of the park and the surrounding area. We need to do a thorough sweep and see if we can find any clues or evidence of the suspect's presence."

Marcus and the other Agent continued to discuss the details of their plan, their voices slightly lowered to avoid any potential eavesdroppers. They were completely focused on the task at hand, their years of experience and training kicking in as they quickly devised a strategy to follow up on the anonymous tip.

I opened the door "You really checking the park even though I was buried in someone's backyard?"

Marcus and the Agent turned around, surprised to see me standing in the doorway. They quickly composed themselves, realizing that I must have heard their conversation outside the room. Marcus stepped forward, his expression a mix of surprise and concern. "You should be resting," he said firmly. "You've been through a lot, and your body needs time to recover."

"Oh come on, I'm fine. You know maybe it is a prank call," I sorta smirked.

Marcus raised an eyebrow at my comment, not quite believing my nonchalant attitude. "That's possible," he conceded, "But we can't take any chances. If there's a possibility that this tip leads us to the suspect, we have to follow up on it."

"I was literally buried in someone's backyard and you both want to look at a park?" I asked sceptical.

Marcus nodded, his expression becoming more serious. "We're aware of what happened to you, and we're taking it very seriously. But we have to look into all potential leads and avenues of investigation, no matter how insignificant they may seem."

"Good luck-" I went to walk back into my room. "You'll need it," I replied.

Marcus and the other Agent watched me walk back into the room, their expressions a mix of frustration and curiosity. They knew I had likely heard their conversation and were trying to dismiss their efforts. However, they couldn't ignore the lead they had and intended to investigate it fully.

Outside the room, Marcus and the other Agent exchanged a glance, clearly noticing my smirk. They knew I was trying to play things cool, but they could see the tension and fear beneath the surface. Despite my attempts to act nonchalant, they could tell that I was in some form of trouble.

They both knew that I was holding something back, and they were determined to get to the bottom of it. But for now, they had work to do. They needed to coordinate the search of the park and surrounding area and see if the anonymous tip led to any promising clues or evidence.

They began to discuss the next steps, their voices kept low to avoid any potential eavesdroppers. However, both of them made a mental note to keep a close eye on me and figure out what I was hiding from them.

As they continued to discuss their plans, Marcus couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to my story than met the eye. Whoever buried me in that backyard must have done it for a reason, and that reason was likely not a good one.

He exchanged a look with the other Agent, silently conveying his thoughts and concerns. They both knew that they were dealing with a complex situation and that I was likely in danger. But they also knew that they couldn't force me to talk if I wasn't willing to.

As they finished finalizing their plans, Marcus turned to the other Agent. "I'm gonna stay here and keep an eye on her," he said, his voice low and serious. "I don't trust her to stay put and rest like she's supposed to."

The other Agent nodded in agreement. "Good idea. She's definitely hiding something, and we need to make sure she doesn't do anything reckless while we're out at the park."

With that, the Agent left to begin the search at the park, leaving Marcus alone in the hallway outside my room. He took a deep breath, steeling himself for a long night of keeping an eye on me and trying to uncover the secrets I was so determined to keep hidden.

He took up a casual stance next to my hospital room door, trying to appear nonchalant in case I happened to look out at him. But his eyes are watchful and his mind is focused, ready to intervene at the first sign of trouble.

As he waited, Marcus continued to let his mind work, trying to figure out what I might be hiding. He knew that I was definitely involved in something deeper than I was letting on, and he was determined to get to the bottom of it.

Marcus heard the buzzing from my room and instantly tensed. He assumed it was my phone, and the sudden noise in the otherwise silent hallway caught his attention.
