Maria's POV
I don't remember much. All I know is I heard screaming and alarms go off whilst Papa was with a girl.. Eleven I believe, so I turned into a bee and escaped from the vents.
As of now I was on the run as a red fox. I have been on the run for a while now. Oh yeah, I forgot that I can shapeshift into whatever animal I want. I'm also really good at spying on people.
I eventually cross a neighborhood with an older woman and little girl. The little girl was on a "swing set" as I heard it was called. She noticed me and said "Mommy, look! There's a Fox!" I quickly changed back to being a human.
The woman looks around "I don't see a fox, little daisy." She then notice me "Oh my goodness! Where are your parents? Come inside dear, let's get you some fresh clothes." The woman says kindly with a smile taking me inside.
She gets me some new clothes and then says "What's your name, sweetheart?" I pull out my arm to show her the number 16 tattooed onto my arm. "Not real name. Real name Maria." I answer. Oddly enough, I could remember my real name.
"Well, Maria, my name is Athena and my daughter-" She motions to the younger girl "is Hailey. It looks like you have no where to go so you can stay with my daughter and I." I smile, because she reminds me of the woman that used to take care of me.
"Yay, I get a big sister!" Hailey declares and I laugh a bit, considering the girl is cute.
