Your Point of View
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As I follow Adam towards the Comms Sector, I can feel his devilish smile plastered on his face. I hate how I let him get his way. There's just something about him that I can't walk away from.
"You're awfully quiet, Y/N." His accent breaks me out of my thoughts. "Something on your mind?"
I roll my eyes. "Yeah, you, ya freak."
"Aww. I'm flattered." He teases.
"Not like that." I huff.
God, he's annoying; always taking things the wrong way. But then again, he's not really doing anything to be irritating, how he acts, how he talks, and his accent makes things either harder to understand or too flirtatious.
Sometimes I wonder if he's been through things he's just masking. Like, if he's masking his emotions in front of me and is completely different by himself. I mean, isn't everyone? Or is it just me?
I suddenly feel a large hand gently grasp mine. He pulls me forward to his side as we enter the Comms Sector. I don't say anything. Instead, I look around the Sector. There's not much except a few rooms tucked in the back and rooms to the side. There's no one here either.
"So..." I start. "Where is everyone? Why are there rooms back here?"
He ignores my questions once again and continues to lead me to the rooms, explaining each one.
"The single rooms on each side in the middle lead to more elevators. This is for easier access to the lower levels-"
"Huh!?"
"Taire toi (Shut up). Stop interrupting me. You can ask questions when I'm done. Anyway, yes, lower levels. It's more convenient for everyone here. The single rooms adjacent to each room leading to the elevators are offices. Weverly and I have one on this side," He pauses and points to the right. "The other two are for any worker if they need a break or have things to do."
"Damn. So what were you wanting to show me? Other than the Sectors?" I ask and again, he walks away from me. "Oh, so now we're playin' this game?"
He walks into his office as I follow close behind. As I follow him into the room, I don't bother to look around. It doesn't seem like he spends much time in this room since it's as bland as his sense of humor. I walk past Adam and look at his desk which is littered in yellow folder and papers. I look over my shoulder to see him shutting the door and then leaning against the wall beside it with his arms crossed.
I look at him confused. "What?"
"Find out for yourself." He says nonchalantly.
I stay silent after that. There's not much to argue about with him. I sigh and turn my attention back to the folders and papers. I grab the nearest folder. 'GV' is written on the front of it in black marker. My face contorts in bewilderment reading the letters.
"Hey Frenchie? What's GV?" I ask as I look over my shoulder to see Adam already drilling his gaze into the back of my head. "You can check me out later, Frenchie. What the fuck is GV?"
"Open the folder and read it."
I roll my eyes and do as he instructs. My eyes skim the first page. I then read it more carefully.
