[Duel Academy Entrance, 8:50 A.M.]

Today was a big day for the students of Duel Academy, for it was exam day. The exams weren't only written though, there was also the practical exam of course. Where students would duel others in their dorm, and depending on how you do, you could be promoted to the next dorm rank. Currently, Yuni, Lori, and Yuuchi were all walking down the hall to their classroom to do their written exam.

"What if I forget what a field spell is!?" Lori yelled nervously while holding her head. Yuni just giggled at the girl and Yuuchi smiled while holding back a laugh of his own.

"You're not gonna forget what a field spell is Lori, calm down. You got this." Yuni said reassuringly while rubbing her friends back. Yuuchi turned to the shorter girl walking next to him with a small smile. "We've been studying together for a little over a month now. I'm pretty sure you'll keep everything in your head." He said softly.

Lori just looked at the two of them, clearly still nervous, but slowly nodded her head. "Ok..ok. You guys are right. I got this!...I think.." She said to herself before taking a few deep breaths to calm herself down. The three soon came to their homeroom class where the test would be taken, and went in, with Yuuchi holding the door for them.

"You know, why don't you just think about all the rare cards you could get after the exam." Yuni told Lori, trying to calm her nerves. "Imagine the duel you'll get to have after the exam. I just know it'll be great!" She said with a smile. Lori started thinking about what Yuni was saying and started to feel less nervous.

"Yeah...Yeah! I just know I'll get some good cards, and whoever I duel against is gonna have a hard time dealing with me and Amber!" Lori shouted, causing the students around to look at the girl whose nervousness was replaced with excitement. Shortly after this, Professor Sartyr walked into the room. "Ok, students. Take your seats, and quiet down. The exam will be starting soon." He said as he walked to the table where the test packets were.

"Ok, ok, Let's do this guys." Lori said, trying to hype herself up before standing up and stretching her arm out to fist bump Yuuchi. "Come on Yuni, you too." She called out to her friend. Yuni smiled and got up before putting her fist next to Lori's, and then Yuuchi stretched his arm down to place his against theirs. "Good luck, I'm sure we all got this. Gooooooo Primary Trio!" Lori cheered while making an explosion motion with her hand that she fist bumped with.

Yuuchi did the same motion and sighed. "Yeah, that still sounds weird." He said referring to the name Lori gave their little friend group. "But I guess it's better than the other names you came up with." Yuni exploded her hand and went back to her seat. "I kinda liked 'The Tussle Trio'." She said to Lori, who smiled at her.

Shortly after the clock struck 9:00, the packets were handed out to the students. Professor Sartyr sat down in the chair behind the table. "Alright, you all have one hour to finish the test. If you're done before then, then bring your packet up here to the table. There will be no talking or sharing answers whether you've finished your test or not. With that, you may begin." He said.

The testing hour had passed, all packets were turned in, and Professor Sartyr had started to grade them.
