As we arrived at the private jet, I watched as our luggage was carefully loaded by the ground crew. The excitement of jetting off was somewhat overshadowed by the discomfort I felt from the tension with Beyoncé.

The car ride to the airport had been excruciating. Beyoncé was completely absorbed into her laptop, her eyes glued to the screen I watched as her fingers tapped keys and the more she scrolled, attention being diverted from me. Despite the ride being short, it felt like an eternity. The isolation feels almost suffocating.

Finally we reached the jet, and the time came to board. I approached Kelly and Jay with a polite smile trying to maintain a friendly demeanor despite the underlying tension with Beyoncé. They were both easygoing as always.

"Hey Jay, Kelly! Good to see you both," I greet, despite my inner unease.

"Hey!" Kelly responds warmly, pulling me into a hug. "It's so good to see you!"

"How's everything going? All things good I hope?" Jay asks, giving me a friendly pat on the shoulder.

"I'm doing well, thanks," I reply, forcing a genuine smile. As I finish speaking, Kelly's husband, Tim approaches us, and Jay quietly steps away.

"Y/n, this is my husband, Tim," Kelly introduces, gesturing towards him.

Tim extends his hand with a friendly grin. "Nice to finally meet you, Y/n."

"Likewise," I say shaking his hand firmly.

As we chat, I can't help but glance at Beyoncé. She's engaged in a conversation with Jay, her laughter ringing out as they share a private joke. The warmth and ease between them is evident, which only heightens my frustration. If they can be in good spirits why is there still this tension between us?

I take a deep breath, trying to focus on the positive interactions around me. It's supposed to be a pleasant trip after all, and I need to keep things light and positive despite the lingering of unresolved tension.

Tim looked at me with a knowing smile during our conversation, "I've heard a lot about you, Y/n, I don't know how you keep up with Bey she's always on her feet.

I chuckled softly, "She sure is.." I said, trailing off but unable to hide the amusement in my tone. I glanced over at them once more still whispering sharing laughter with one another.

"Y/n, what have you been up to?" Kelly asks, their repetitive questions and the sight before me has me livid.

I let out a soft laugh trying to keep my composure, "Oh, you know, not much. Your friend has me running around constantly. It's like always something that needs doing," I say gritting, but covering it up with a playful eye roll gesturing at Beyoncé and Jay.

Kelly laughs, "I can imagine, I remember those days."

Our conversation was interrupted by a small tug at my pea coat. I turned to find Sir, his eyes filled with impatience.

"Hey, buddy," I greeted him. "What's up?"

"Can we go get on the plane, please?"

"Sure thing," I said smiling at him, I stood up and extended a hand, which he took eagerly. "Come on, let's go."

As we started to walk towards the jet, I glanced back at Kelly, a grin on my face, leaning in slightly lowering my voice so she could only hear, "he's my favorite, but you didn't hear from me," I tell her.

Kelly's laughter bubbled up again, "I'll speak with you again on the plane," I tell her.

Sir and I made our way towards the jet, his hand clutched into mine. He looked up at me with excitement. I couldn't help but feel a warm fondness for him; I'd love to have my own one day.
