Scarlett and Josiah wandered off to a table filled with sweet treats, Chloe and Red were doing what they were supposed to and trying to find out what they could. The princesses walked past Scarlett and Josiah while following the principal, grabbing the two and dragging them along.
Red reached up and tilted Scarlett's chin down, wiping the chocolate that dripped from the taller girl's bottom lip. Scarlett rolled her eyes, smacking Red's hand away.
They followed the principal into a classroom, standing by him as he introduced them to the class. "Bridget, Ella, split up and each help two of these transfers," he instructed, one of the girls walking to an empty desk. "You two with Bridget, and you two with Ella," the principal led Scarlett and Red to Bridget before leading Chloe and Josiah to Ella.
"You're Bridget...?" Red questioned; her mother used to be so...... pink. And she seemed like the sweetest girl. ".... From Wonderland...?" she seemed skeptical, thinking this was a different Bridget and not her mother but the pink haired girl nodded with a bright smile.
"That's me!" the girl squealed happily, reaching out to pull Red into a hug but she backed away, not expecting it. Scarlett tuned out the girls, distracted by something else.
Scarlett looked at Josiah who seemed pretty relaxed for just being put into a group without her. She looked down, realizing Chloe had Josiah's hand in hers, rubbing her thumb over the back of it.
She bit the inside of her cheek while her gaze lingered on their hands, only looking away when a hand landed on her shoulder. "Get your hand off me," Scarlett muttered, turning towards Red.
"Well, you were too busy staring at your boyfriend to notice that we're trying to get your attention," Red rolled her eyes, looking up at Scarlett whose eyes narrowed.
"He is not my boyfriend."
"Really? Did you tell him that?" Red questioned, her eyes widening when Bridget offers her a cupcake, taking it from her quickly and taking a huge bite.
Scarlett looked down at Red's hand, noticing her nails were now neon pink. "Were your nails not just red?"
"They're magical, they change one thing on you to my favorite color!" Bridget giggled, offering Scarlett a cupcake who declined. Magic wasn't something she was used to, although it was the reason she had blonde streaks throughout her hair. Her mother had magic from some flower in her system when she had Scarlett.
"What are we supposed to be doing?" Scarlett tried to forget about her mother, the woman she hated the most. The image continued to pop into her head, replaying over and over as she remembered how she was walked out on, forgotten.
"Hey, you okay?" Scarlett felt a hand on her shoulder, the touch leaving quicker than it appeared. She looked at Red who seemed worried about her.
"I'm fine, just... zoned out," the taller girl avoided looking at Red and turned her attention to Bridget, who started explaining the assignment that they were supposed to start when they first got to the desk.

"Oh no, not again," Scarlett muttered to herself when Bridget began singing while handing out cupcakes to people in the courtyard.
Everyone around her began to dance and sing while she walked silently behind the rest of the group, feeling Josiah's hand grab hers. His cold hand sent shivers down her spine.
"Your hands are cold, they're usually warm," the redhead muttered, looking down at the younger boy.
"Chloe's hand was like yours and the room was colder than I'm used to," Josiah whispered, Scarlett almost didn't hear him.
