That night Kovu asked Kion to stay over for the night Kion obviously said yes.
Late that evening, while the two were cuddled up wwatching a movie Kovu looked up and smiled
"Hey thank you for agreeing to stay tonight. I really needed it" Kovu signed snuggling up to him
"Anytime Kovu. What do you mean by you needed this?"
Kovus ears dropped "I just had a rough day. Nothing happened I just want to be held"
Kion placed his arm around him "I get it"
Kion then looked at his phone to check the time and smiled
"Hey babe?"
"Yeah?"
"Remember this?" Kion showed Kovu his home screen
Kovu Smiled and looked at Kion "yeah. I love pride month I can finally open up about myself. makes me feel happier and more sure about myself. Maybe you're right I should open up more" Kovu purred giving Kion a shy yet loving smile

just then Kion got a text that sent a wave of betrayal down Kovus spine
"Kion." Kovu said sternly "why is Kibora asking if I'm okay?"

Kion pulled his pulled his phone away quickly
"Oh uh well you see uh," He stuttered trying to find an alibi
"Kion?!" Kovu asked starting to get frustrated
"Well you see" Kion muttered before giving up
"I told Kibora that you used to cut yourself I needed to tell him he's my best friend and he also went through alot so I knew he'd understand"

"Kovu, I'm sorry" Kion protested
"No! Kion this isn't a time where you can kiss me say you're sorry and everything will be okay!" Kovu hissed "I trusted you, I thought I could trust my own boyfriend to keep a secret but apparently not"
