Daisy sat in the small room made for drawing and art. The walls were covered in paint splatter that had dried long before the worker's could clean it.
Daisy colored the paper before her using crayons. It was a large box of them, that she usually hid behind a large collection of cubbies, so no one would waste them.
She heard the door open, the Caretaker walking in. They crouched down before her and smiled.
"Hello Daisy. Whatcha drawing?"
Daisy brightened up. She loved sharing her drawings of stories she came up with.
"I'm drawing a.."
She glanced at her paper, picking it up and shoving it in the caretakers face.
"A fierce dragon! Rawr!"
The Caretaker chuckled and lowered the paper a bit, peeking at Daisy over the top.
"Boundaries, Daisy."
They patted daisy's head
"Sorry!"
"It's no problem. You just forgot. Do you have another story today?"
Daisy nodded excitedly, clenching the paper.
"Yes, Yes!"
The Caretaker leaned back and gently positioned into a sitting position, their legs crossed.
"It's a story about a princess! Princess.."
Daisy thought for a moment.
"Uh.."
"Not all princess's have to have names Daisy, but take your time."
Daisy chuckled and nodded as thanks.
"Princess Rosie! Rosie was a really pretty princess, and dispite all her kindness, she was never happy.. Because she and her mommy was trapped in a tower by a dragon! Rawr!"
The Caretaker smiled.
"What did the dragon do?"
"This dragon was mean, and made Rosie and Her mom do ALLLLL the chores, BUT, Her mommy was always sick, so she'd always beg Rosie 'Rosie I'm too sick to, and so very tired! Would you mind taking care of mine as well?' And Rosie would agree, because her mother said she was super kind, and she didn't want to disappoint her!"
Daisy picked up another paper, and started drawing.
"And- and-"
She quickly finished her drawing of Rosie's mom and Rosie.. presumably..
"Rosie did all the chores, while her mother and the dragon rested. She was reaaaaaally tired of it. So she complained. But soon she realized, her mother was sick, so she can't. And the dragon had other things to do.. like.. well I can't think of an example..."
She frowned, but continue.
"The dragon and her mother told her off, talking about how her chores are basically easier then their life. So Rosie realized how selfish she was being..,"
Daisy looked a bit sad.
"But-But she continued her chores, happy and content, realizing now she was in a better place then both of them, and realized she had to."
The Caretaker looked at Daisy was a soft gently smile, with a warm pityful stare.
"That sounds like a lovely story Daisy.. But why doesn't Rosie ask the dragon for help?"
"Well.."
Daisy thought.
"The dragon guards the tower! But he drinks cursed water that makes him feel good, but act bad. So if she even approached, she would be a target for the big Dragon."
The Caretaker walked around to Daisy and picked her up, gently caressing her head.
"How about we go join the other children. Your parent's will be here soon.."
Daisy cheered.
"Okay! Can I tell them my story?"
"Of course Daisy. You should always share your story.."
The Caretaker left the room with Daisy in their arm.
"I think they'll like it!"
Her eyes lit up as she glanced back at the two drawings still on the table. Rosie, her sick mother, and the drinking dragon.
