A Scout Feeling They Are a Failure: Easy Target

Days passed after the encounter with Makira's betrayal, Akane was feeling ashamed and felt she failed her duty as a scout to protect her princess. Things were not good between her and Harumi either, every time Harumi questioned her they argued. This started to effect Sapphire too, when she tried to get the two lovers to speak to one another only failing to do so. She sighed in defeat, and stayed out until late at night, staying by Chibi-Usa's until Haruka came to pick her up to take her home. Riko, Misaki, Sierra, Nakia, Asami, Setsuko, and Noelani started to be concerned about the situation. Nazuki even began to question her twin sister about the whole deal with Akane and Harumi.

"Why all of a sudden are they acting this way? Don't they realize what it's doing to them, it's like Harumi-San has no smile anymore. Isn't there something we can do about whatever is going on? Toshiue no futago no imōto aren't you listening to me?"

Asami turned toward her twin sister.

"Zuki-Chan it is nothing for you to be concerned about, they are just having an argument that is all. Go take Chibi-Usa out for ice cream my treat, and don't stay out too late. Chibi-Usa watch her please, and stay alert sweetie, and make sure you tell Usagi too."

Chibi-Usa nodded, and whispered in her ear.

'She has no idea that you are a scout does she Asami-San? Besides, there is more going on then you are all letting on isn't there?'

Asami looked down at her.

'Umm, no she has no idea, besides I know she will be safe with you.'

Chibi-Usa thought for a second, and then she walked away with Nazuki causing Asami to sigh with relief. She also realized that she changed the subject.

'Rude, and I am a scout to you know. You all are worse than Usagi I swear!'

~Back at the Dark Lair~

Makira spoke abruptly.

"Okay, you honestly think you succeeded in breaking them up just because they have been avoiding one another, You still will fail to get her on our side. Michiko, guess your little plan didn't work after all did it! I got caught just like your sorry ass did, so now what do we do Ms. Stronger than you! One thing you are underestimating is how strong Akane is, she is avoiding Harumi because she feels that she failed to protect her pathetic little princess! They have not broken up yet like you assumed! I think we should just forget about getting her on our side and focus on getting energy for her majesty so she can gain her strength and end those pathetic Phoenix sisters once and for all!!"

Kira and Inei came back with energy for Kuramia, and entered her chambers.

"Your highness we managed to gather some energy, without any interference from any of those annoying scouts."

Kuramia came out the shadows taking the energy from them, and gained a bit of strength.

"It still is not enough, to take my sisters down once and for all. Be gone and let me rest, do not disturb me till you have gathered enough of energy!!"

They both bowed, and ran out of her chambers after she used her staff on them burning the bottom of their boots causing the others to giggle as they ran taking off their boots that melted. Kira scoffed.

"Go on and laugh it up you two! At least we are trying to gather energy unlike you two just playing around acting all high and mighty!! That really hurt, my poor feet!!"

~Back on earth~

Akane sighed as she was training hard by herself, pushing herself to her limits. Harumi approached her.
