Warning off any who might make the witches... come back to life!" The Teacher said to them.. She was dressed in black and wore a witches hat.. "Gimme a break." Max said to her with a scoff.. "Max.." Lucas said to him, shaking his head.. "Aha. We seem to have a sceptic in our midst. Mr. Dennison, would you care to share your California, laid-back, tie-dyed point of view?" She asked him.. "Okay." Max said with an attitude.. "Max don't." Lucas said.. "I have this one brother... Granted that, uh, you guys here in Salem are all into these, uh, black cats and witches and stuff." Max said.. "Stuff?" Lucas asked in disgust, he of course believed in all that Hocus Pocus stuff as Max called it... "Stuff? Fine. then give us your opinion please?" The Teacher asked him.. "Everyone here knows that Halloween was invented by the candy companies." Max said to her.. "Oh!" Lucas said.. "It's a conspiracy." Max said glaring at Lucas.. "It just so happens that Halloween is based.. on the ancient feast called All Hallows Eve.. It's the one night of the year where the spirits of the dead can return to Earth." Alison said to him.. "Well said, Allison." The Teacher said to her.. "Well, in case Jimi Hendrix shows up tonight, here's my number." Max said to her, handing her his phone number.. "Come on, let's go." Lucas said standing with Max.. "Hey, wait up. Did he call you?" Alison asked Max.. "Yeah." Max said, being smart.. "Well, what did he say?" Alison asked with a smile.. She then walked away as her boyfriend of the time stood watching.. "Max. Fat chance." He said to him as he walked off.. "Ya blew it brother." Lucas said to him with a grin.. "Maybe.." Max said, rushing out of the class after her..
Max and Lucas leave the building like the other kids.. Max goes straight for his pushbike.. "Hey, Max, did ya want a lift home?" Lucas yelled to him.. "No!" Max yelled back jumping on his bike.. He had Alison in his sights.. "Your loss." Lucas said, climbing onto his motorbike.. While Max rode his bike over to Alison who was walking home.. "Allison." Max said as he rode up beside her.. "Hi." Alison replied.. "Hi. Look, um, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to embarrass you in class." Max said to her.. "You didn't." Alison said to him.. "My name is Max Dennison." He said to her.. "Yeah, I know. You just moved here, huh?" Alison asked him... "Yeah, last week." Max said to her.. "Must be a big change for you?" Alison asked him.. "Yeah, that's for sure. But I think Lucas likes it..." Max said to her.. "You don't like it here?" Alison asked him.. "Oh, the leaves are great, but-- - I-I don't know. It's just all this Halloween stuff." Max said to her.. "You don't believe in it?" Alison asked with a little mischievous look.. "What, do you mean, like, the Sanderson Sisters? No way. I am not Lucas.." Max said to her. "Not even on Halloween?" Alison asked again with a mischievous look.. "Especially not on Halloween. Like I said, I am not my brother Lucas.." Max said to her.. "Maybe you should be.. "Trick or treat." Alison said to him, holding up a piece of paper to him.. Max smiled, he just knew it was going to be her phone number.. He took it with a smile for her.. "Hey, Diana, wait for me. I'm coming!" Alison said running off after her twin sister... Max then opened the paper, it was his phone number that he had given her in class.. Max looked up as Lucas rode past him on his bike..
