Y/n lazily opened his eyes and looked at his phone. He knew he should get up as if he didn't his mom would harp on him.
Y/n: Uhg, why do beds feel hard as a rock when I'm trying to get up but soft as feathers when I'm trying to get up.
Y/n gets up, grabs his phone, earbuds, and walks downstairs to see his home in the kitchen.
Y/n: Morning, mom
Mom: Morning sweetheart, how was your sleep?
Y/n: It was pretty good. I wish I could have slept long, but hey, it is what it is.
Mom: Well, here I made you some breakfast.
Mom hands you a plate with scramble eggs, toast, and strawberries.
Y/n: Thanks, mom!
Y/n sits down on the couch and starts eating his breakfast. As he's doing this, he's also on his phone looking at job openings. His mom always tells him not to worry about finding a job right now as he just got out of high school a week ago. But y/n isn't one to just sit around on his ass and not do anything. Then he spots an article on a job.

With a pay of $150.60 a week, it's not too bad for a kid fresh out of high. Still, the part about not being responsible for injuries that occur is concerning. But hey, it's probably because you're working as a night guard.
Y/n: (thoughts) Hmm, I guess I could make a call. What's the worst that could happen.
Y/n dials the phone number on the article
Y/n: Hello, I'm y/n. I'm wanted to know if the night guard position is still open?
?: Yeah! If you're interested, you can swing by today for the interview.
Y/n: Ok, sure, I'll be there.
?Alright, see you then!
Y/n hangs up
Y/n: That woman seemed really excited to hear I was interested. They must really need help there. We'll anyway, HEY MOM, GOT A JOB INTERVIEW TODAY!
My mom comes and sticks her head out of the kitchen doorway.
Mom: Really, I'm so proud of you!
