Chapter 19

It was hard to stay at a distance to merely observe the unfolding events, Shang Tsung and Fujin were able to revive Sindel but it turned out to be a bad move. Aric knew he was warned not to interfere with the events, but Shang Tsung, Fujin and Nightwolf already broke that rule and now they were in uncharted territory in the timeline. No one could predict what would happen next, except......

Turns out Sindel was evil and now she freed Shao Kahn and is hell bent on getting the Crown and Hourglass, for Aric it was no surprise that she was working with Shang Tsung secretly. Aric had enough of all this, the plan falling apart and everything else. He was on his way to the Koliseum prisons where he last saw the Cage family get taken, after they were ambushed by the Shokan army at the shores of the Sea of Blood.

He watched the Shokan guards patrol the area, then he came out of his hiding place and blasted flames at one of them. The emerald flame struck the lower back of the Shokan and he fell forward unconscious, the other guards showed up and stared the Edenian down.

"I will say this once and once only." Aric said in a threatening tone. "Let me pass or suffer the consequences."

The guards ignored the command and charged. Aric sighed before blasting one away before jumping forward to kick one in the chest before punching another in the face before evading an axe, Aric blasted the flames at the Shokan guard before kicking him into one of the open cells, then he kicked the knee of another before he grounded him and snapped his neck.

Aric blocked all four armed attacks of another before kicking him back into a pillar, where he sank down but then Aric engulfed him in emerald flames and burned him alive.

"This perversion ends now." Aric said in disgust as he looked around at the dead bodies.

He approached the cells where the Cage family and other Special Forces soldiers were kept in, he kicked it open and they all looked up.

"Aric!" Cassie said before she ran up to hug him.

Aric hugged her back and held her tightly. It felt good to see her again and he even shed a single tear as he remember how Kronika erased history, Cassie was one of the few people he cared about. He watched the girl grow up, alongside Johnny and Sonya.

"Its good to see you again too." he said with a sad smile.

"What do you mean?" Young Sonya asked in confusion.

"Yeah. We just watched you leave in one of the ships with Kitana." Young Johnny added.

"Its a long story." Aric said as he and Cassie let each other go. "But we need to get out of here, the others are in serious danger."

"Sindel is back." Sonya said, knowing that name meant something to him.

"I know." Aric said before he turned to walk out. "Come on."

The Cage family and what remained of the Special Forces followed after the Edenian Prince, Aric was mad and it wasnt because of the plan going wrong. No, this was because of Sindel. And no, it wasn't because she was evil because he knew her better than anyone in Outworld or Earth realm. She had no evil bone in her body, he knew that as much because of the history he had with Jerrod and Sindel.

"Wait! All those stories you told me when I was a kid, they're all true." Cassie asked as she walked alongside. "Sindel was the one you told me about the whole time."

"Yes. So her being suddenly evil makes no sense to me." Aric said as they kept walking.

Aric, the Cage family and the Special came at the shores of the Sea of Blood, by now the ships of Kharon were already gone.
