Ryazania POV:

After savoring Elara's delicious potato and carrot soup and discussing our next steps, I walked towards the gate, with Fein trailing behind me.

As I stepped outside, I looked up at the sky and was awestruck by its brilliance.

The vast, endless expanse was adorned with countless sparkling stars, each one shimmering like a precious gem. The sight was so breathtaking that it soothed my soul, filling me with a sense of tranquility and wonder.

I realized that I had never seen anything quite like this back in my world. In fact, it was more accurate to say that such a view would have been impossible to find in the country where I had lived. The beauty of the sky here was a rare and unparalleled sight, reminding me of the profound differences between this world and the one I had left behind.

Fein, noticing my gaze fixed on the sky, spoke up, "What are you doing?"

I turned to him with a soft smile, still captivated by the view. "I'm just admiring the sky. It's so beautiful here. The stars remind me of home, of my parents."

Fein raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "Your parents? How so?"

I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "Back in my world, we didn't have skies like this. My mother especially loved astronomy. She'd spend hours gazing at the stars, telling me about constellations and the stories they held. My father would join her, and their shared love for the stars was something that brought them close."

Fein listened intently, though his expression showed he was trying to grasp the depth of my words. "So, the stars here remind you of them?"

I nodded. "Yes. It's like a piece of them is here with me, even though they're far away. The beauty of this world, especially the sky, makes me feel connected to them in a way."

Fein looked at the sky, squinting as if searching for understanding. "I guess I can see why that's meaningful. It's like... a link to your past, something beautiful that keeps you connected to what you care about."

I appreciated his attempt to understand. "Exactly. It's moments like these that make me feel a little less lost."

Fein gave a thoughtful nod, trying to relate to my feelings. "I suppose there's a lot more to this world than just its dangers and challenges."

With a shared moment of understanding, we both took in the night sky, each of us finding our own solace in its vastness.

The dawn broke with a soft, golden light, gently illuminating the world outside the small abode. I stirred awake to the quiet rustling of Elara as she moved around, preparing for the day.

She was methodically packing supplies and making sure everything was in order for our departure.

"Elara?" I mumbled, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

She looked over with a warm smile. "Good morning. It's time to get moving. We need to leave before the sun gets too high. The path to the Dwarven capital won't be easy."

I nodded, quickly getting up and shaking off the last remnants of sleep. Fein, already awake, was busy organizing our gear, his movements brisk and efficient.

Elara's preparation was thorough. She handed me a small, tightly packed bundle of supplies. "This should cover us for the journey. We've packed enough food and basic supplies. Vengir is waiting outside."

With everything gathered, we stepped out into the crisp morning air. The chill bit at my skin, a stark reminder of the harsh environment we were about to traverse. The landscape was bathed in the soft light of dawn, the sky a gradient of warm hues fading into a clear blue.
