You look at your reflection in your phone screen again, still talking to yourself. Honestly, there were times when you even managed to enjoy your own appearance, noting a particular beauty on certain days. Damn, you really do look good. Perfect dark hair, brown eyes, an impeccable leather jacket, and neat hands with long fingers—your appearance works for you.
Minji carefully examines the comments that catch her eye, occasionally chuckling lightly. Amusing. It's peaceful here, maybe easier than on any other social network where the girls could encounter a lot of negativity. Yes, sometimes it happens here too, but it's quickly fixed. Her gaze doesn't linger on the comments for long; a shadow behind the door hints at someone standing behind it. A knock, and Kim turns with interest, until a familiar face appears in the gap. No ghost, just another group member.
"Can I come in?" the Vietnamese girl asks, her characteristic smile on her face. She slips through the doorway and closes the door behind her, turning towards the phone. "Hi, Bunnies."
Hanni waves a greeting, and the older girl starts to subtly observe her. A black cardigan with a floral print, light loose jeans, and pleasantly toned sneakers. Glasses highlight the girl's gentle nature, lovely.
For convenience, the Korean girl quickly moves a second chair to her desk, allowing her friend to sit next to her, and the pleasant scent of perfume gradually reaches her as well. This is surely what the fans wanted, judging by the comments, and the members themselves aren't fools, right? Only the naïve could think that some fan antics go unnoticed by the performers.
Mostly, Hanni knew about such things; she was the one who liked to cling to Minji's hand at times. And Minji herself enjoyed this warmth immensely, which occasionally burned too intensely, making her heart pump blood harder. Their relationship and interactions hardly changed when the cameras appeared; rather, it was more complicated and intense when they were alone.
"Oh, by the way!" Hanni smiles and grabs her friend's hand, bringing it closer to the front camera. "I gave her this ring when we went out recently."
There it is again, that devilish smile, and Minji feels herself slowly melting from the touches—Hanni manages to do this so effortlessly. She can only nod and recall the small walk by the river. It was quite romantic.
"You said I looked like Thanos with it," the older girl places her hand on her knee and turns to the Vietnamese girl, their gazes quickly meeting.
Hanni doesn't reply but doesn't ignore it either. Her eyes drop back to Minji's sculpted fingers. She shouldn't stare, and getting rid of these thoughts won't be easy. She closes her eyes slightly from her thoughts and looks at the screen.
Her head is not entirely empty, but she doesn't want to delve into her thoughts now—it's not quite the right moment for heated reflections.
"Phone wallpaper? Hmm..." Minji takes her main phone and turns it on, showing the screen to the camera.
"I haven't changed it since last time," Hanni mentions.
"Yeah, right," Minji thinks to herself, remembering the wallpaper Hanni had quickly tried to change, but not very successfully. Who was that girl anyway? Hell if she knows, but Minji would be lying if she said it didn't bother her. It should be her photo there."I saw it," she replies curtly.
"How do you like it?" Hanni is definitely teasing, and Minji knows that playful tone and sharp look all too well. It's irritating.
"Nice," Minji responds, knowing it's best not to say too much, even though she wants to retort. Minji looks at the screen, seeing herself and Hanni together, the latter smiling brightly. Damn, and all those comments about them are confusing. Minji considers that if she allows herself to have a bit of fun once, nothing bad will happen, right? Minji often responded with light flirting to fan comments before.
"But you know, my picture would probably look better," Minji smiles and glances at Hanni. Ha-ha, let's see what you say to that.
"Really?" Hanni pulls a questioning face, "Just don't be jealous," she says in English, laughing loudly.
What was that? Minji silently turns to look at Hanni, then turns back around. Fine. Minji calmly sighs and smiles, continuing to respond to some comments. At the same time, she removes her hand from her own knee and places it on Hanni's knee, squeezing it slightly. This movement feels like boiling water on Hanni's skin, even through the fabric of her jeans. Hanni nervously bites her lower lip and tries to focus on the comments from the stream. Minji's hand is large and incredibly strong. The younger girl could feel her skin being squeezed tighter, testing her patience. Hanni throws a pleading look at Minji and nudges her slightly, hinting to end the stream.
"Guys, it seems we need to wrap up now, we have to get back to work," Minji says with a laugh, turning off the stream.
"What are you doing?!" Hanni immediately asks.
"What are you doing?" Minji turns to her, "You came to my room and decided to mess with me?"
"You made something up yourself and got upset over it," Hanni smirks, moving a bit further away on the chair. Minji in a bad mood could be scary sometimes.
"Yeah, right," Minji sighs, "Are my actions completely invisible to you?"
"What do you mean?"
The situation turns into something confusing. The air in the small room seems to thin out, and the overall atmosphere becomes tense. But Minji's face doesn't look irritated or angry; she can't be mad at any of the members.
"And how many others do you have as your wallpaper?" Minji asks, turning her gaze to Hanni.
"Minji, are you serious right now?" Hanni laughs, "You know, if that bothers you, I have complaints too."
"Like what?"
"Like your flirting with fans, I don't do that."
"What, are you jealous too?" Minji smirks.
Hanni can't even respond; Minji is right, but admitting it would hurt her pride, something she has plenty of.
"Just shut up," Hanni looks away and grabs her bag, getting up from the chair. Inside, she's torn to pieces by the pleasant touches of her friend, whose hands knew exactly the right places.
"We're not done talking," Minji frowns and grabs Hanni's wrist, forcing her to turn back around.
