A/N haven't updated in a while so here's a short one!

Taylor turned at the sound of her name and as soon as she saw who the voice was, she dropped her apple in shock. Travis and Blake also turned too, needing to see who had just tried to get Taylor's attention.

"Austin!" Taylor cried, stumbling over to her brother. She winced in pain as she put weight on her ankle but ignored it, too focused on getting to her brother. She fell to her knees, catching him. He looked up into Taylor's eyes and the first thing she noticed was how pale he was, like a ghost.

"I need help" he groaned, removing his hand from the side of his chest. Taylor looked down, gasping at the sight of blood. A lot of blood. Suddenly he coughed, spitting blood down Taylor's tshirt and his own.
"No no no, we need to keep pressure" Taylor said frantically, placing her hand on Austin's wound. Her other hand was on his back, supporting his weight as he fought to keep his eyes open. Blake and Travis were standing behind them now, watching the scene play out infront of them. They knew it was too late. They knew there was nothing they could do.

As Austin's eyes grew heavier and he grew weaker Taylor laid him on the ground, still holding pressure to his wound.
"Just let me go Taylor, it's too late" he mumbled weakly, more blood dribbling out his mouth. Taylor pulled her hand away reluctantly, refusing to let her tears fall. She lay down next to her brother, taking his hand in her own.
"I'm sorry I wasn't there, I'm sorry I couldn't help" she whispered, turning her head to look at him.
"Its okay Taylor, it's not your fault" he murmered back. He squeezed her hand tightly, and she squeezed back.
"I love you Taylor, you are the best sister I ever couldve asked for. You need to look after mom, okay? But also don't forget to look after yourself. I love you Taylor" he told her weakly. Taylor nodded, finally letting the tears roll down her cheeks as she gazed up at the sky.

"Tell me stories" Austin whispered, his eyes closing.
"Um, you remember when I was six and you were four? We pulled that prank on mom, and..." Taylor went on to tell many different stories from their childhood, chuckling occasionally through her tears. Travis and Blake watched on, both crying silently.

After about five minutes Taylor turned her head to look at Austin. His eyes were closed, and he looked so peaceful, like he was asleep. Her gaze flickered to his chest and he saw that it was not moving. He was gone.
