The serving plate was thrown harshly on the counter in the kitchen.

Jimin is frustrated. He is done for today. He is working non stop for almost 4 hours. His shift starts at 6:00 PM and ends at 12 at midnight, on week days. On Weekends, he has shift of 9 hours.

"How can a restaurant be so full on week days and at this time? Like its 10:00 PM. People please go home." Jimin said slumping his shoulders and settling his ass on the counter.

Jane laughed at his behaviour.

Jane, another waitor at 'The Providence', is a colleague and friend of Jimin. He is Korean-American, 24 years old guy, who is smart and kind. Jane is working for The Providence since last 3 years. He loves his job.

The Providence is the type of restaurant where you can meet for business meetings, come with friends for chilling, ladies come for their Kitty parties, lovers come for dates and many more, as the restaurant have great ambience and matches the requirement of its customers. The restaurant maintains the customers confidentiality with atmost care.

Jimin faced Jane with a frown and a pout.

"Why would you laugh? Don't you think people should go home already? " Jimin asked while still having a pout on his face.

"I don't know. Humans have freedom to go anywhere they want to go at anytime, Jimin." Jane shrugged while drying his hands with a napkin.

"You are behaving like this because you and your overdramatic ass wants to go home." Jane said.

Jane walked towards the restroom taking his clothes to change. His shift is finally over.

Jimin pouted even more, if possible. Jimin wants to go home too. He knows he still have two hours before his shift ends but he is tired.

Jimin was biting his lips while thinking what excuse can he make to his boss to let him go home early today again this time. Jimin has done this for more than he is allowed to.

Jimin clicked his fingers when he got the perfect excuse. He smiled and felt proud to made up an excuse this fast.

He ran to his boss' office excitedly. Jimin cleared his throat.

'Go, Jimin, you can do this, like everytime.' Jimin thought, assuring himself that its nothing for him. He knocked the door.

When he heard a 'come in', he was ready to open the door immediately but then he hold his other hand, stopping himself. Jimin shooked his head and waited for 5 seconds before opening the door.

Jimin's boss looked at the intruder and smiled.

"Yes, Jimin? How's it going outside?" Mr. Song asked.

Mr. Song is the manager of the restaurant. He is in his fifties but still manages the whole restaurant alone.

"Its going good Sir. Actually I was here for your permission to leave. I know its still early but my bestfriend needs me. He just got his heart broken by his girlfriend and he wants me to be there for him." Jimin said with a timid voice.

When Mr. Song was about to say something, Jimin interrupted.

"And its not like I did not oppose, actually I told him that I am very busy right now, that I can't come. But then he started crying and reminded me of our promises. That we will always be there for each other; when one is in need, the other has to be there for him. And I keep my promises till my last breath on this earth, you know that. So I have to go. Please. Can I?" Jimin looked at Mr. Song with hopeful eyes and raised brows while holding his breath.
