Press' pov
I pull her close to me, heat radiating off her body and onto mine. Her room freezing cold like a winter night, the blanket feeling thiner than paper.
Her warmth is the only thing keeping me from freezing my ass off.
Her breathing slows down to a steady pace, fanning on my neck as she falls asleep.
I Iayed there for a while watching cobra Kai, my eyes struggling to stay open.
Knowing I can't stay awake and avoid sleep for much longer-
I turn off the tv, a per black void takes over the room consuming all the light, my eyes adjusting to the dark ; making out random objects around the room.
I close my eyes and put my hand on the back of her head holding it close, keeping her head in my neck while holding her close to me.
Focusing on the sound of her heart beating and her exhaling after every breath she takes or any movement she does while asleep.
I soon fall asleep with no thought on my mind. It was peaceful.
It was the first time like this in a while.
Peaceful.
