The five residents — Gaby, Alex, Lexie, Cristina and Izzie — were sipping their coffee when a herd of bright orange scrubs ran past them.

"I see orange everywhere, I hope it's a joke" The five residents watched collectively the invasion start as the bright orange scrubs slowly started to weave in and out of the light and dark blue Seattle Grace ones, infecting every corner of the hospital.

But the problem with infection is that it's not something that you want, they just appear and you have to deal with them. Nobody wanted strep throat or bacterial meningitis.

According to Gaby, infections generally appear when you least expect it and at the worst possible time, basically when you can't juste stay home to look after yourself. Invasion are basically the same thing, you don't want them and no matter how hard you try to fight them off, at some point you have to admit defeat.

Bright orange scrubs were infection or invasion, depend of how you see things, for Gaby it was an infection, cumbersome and unwanted.

The infection in question must certainly have known that they were not welcome, according to the way the blue scrubs from seattle grace look at them.

They (sure) did.

Normally they wouldn't give a shit about the orange scrubs, but the problem is that risk taking their places just as Webber has to fire people.

So they basically see them as competitors who don't belong to this hospital.

From Gaby's point of view it wasn't fair, they'd been there from the start, they'd proved themselves and the orange coasts had that arrived and put their places in danger, real infection.

"How can we agree to wear such horrors?" Lexie with a scoff, crossing her arms.

"Orange is a horrible color" Gaby replied, crossing her arms too, annoyed by the situation. "Like, seriously, what's that?"

"I'm happy that we have blue scrubs" Alex insisted, while staring at the microbes — a nickname given to them before they even arrive, when they learned about the merges.

"They act as if they are superior to us" Izzie took her turn to speak with a look of disgust in her voice before finishing her coffee. "We should remind them who was there first" She adds with a frown.
