When Laena died it was traumatizing to say the least but relatable, I was there when she walked out of the room without anybody noticing following her as she leant against the wall taking some breaths I stoped near her "you're really going to do it?" I asked looking in the sky as the stars shined brighter "how are the girls?' She asked hoping to turn the conversation
"I told them you loved them till the stars fall" she let out a relieved sigh. I felt eyes on me so I looked down seeing a figure in the distance, noticing it was Balerion I sighed turning to her I see her in uncomfortable pain "you know my mother told me about a girl with the most beautiful eyes saving dragons" Laena mumbled gripping onto the banister
That got my attention not knowing that she had a dream "my mother Rhaenyra and her mother all had the dream just I know who you are" double whammy I guess "and I saw how you where with caraxes and vhagar, what where you telling them?" "The fate of the dragons" Balerion was looking at us with sympathy knowing what will happen
Looking at each other with a knowing smile understanding that this would be the last we see each other "Daemon" was all she said before making her way down to vhagar. Turning around I ran looking for my father "LAENA" he yelled searching for her "she's gone to vhagar" I replied with sorrow in my voice "NO" he ran out
"LAENA" I followed after him "LAENA" he ran outside seeing her near vhagar who was up "LAENA NO" he demanded. "I don't want to do this" vhagar said looking between me and Laena, nodding knowing I can't say anything without suspicion "DRACARYS" Laena yelled with pain looking up at vhagar
"Tiny human do I have to do this?" "DRACARYS" "is there another way?" The yelling must've woke up caraxes as he made his way down the hill "CARAXES STOP THEM" "is this bound to happen nova?" Caraxes asked with me nodding "DRACARYS PLEASE VHAGAR" Laena begged to vhagar who still didn't budge
Daemon got closer but was stopped by Caraxes "WHAT ARE YOU DOING CARAXES" daemon shouted out with disbelief in his voice "ooh I don't like him yelling at me" "CARAXES PLEASE" "NOVA PLEASE" Laena and Daemon shouted at the same time that got my fathered attention
"NOVA PLEASE HELP ME" anguish in her voice "daddy i want to tell you something now is not the time but trust me" i said with haste. He knew it was serious when i called him daddy as I haven't since I was 8, earning a confused but understanding nod I parted ways before saying "fire is in my veins"
Looking confused he was going to ask something but caraxes stopped him "tiny human what are you doing?" "NOVA THANK THE GODS SHE'LL LISTEN TO YOU" "oh no I can't look" Caraxes said "NOVA WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" "Nova please it hurts" Laena whimpers on the ground. I looked at her then to my father who has a look of horror on his face then to vhagar who had an understanding of what needs to be done
Laena takes off her necklace and hands it to me which I threw to my father who was too scared to move to get it. Looking to Laena who was in pain I kneeled to her "thank you for being a mother to me" all I got was a kiss on my head as she was to in pain to talk. With a deep breath I prayed that I was actually an unburnt to which Balerion nodded I took a step forward
Looking at vhagar I opened my mouth to say the word with Laena's grunts of pain "NOVA DON'T YOU DARE" my father must've got what I was gonna do "THANK YOU" Laena said with a painful laugh when she saw I was ready "vhagar" was what Laena said before looking in my eyes with relief that her pain will end with my fathers shouts in the back
At that moment the wind stopped everything still now is the perfect time "vhagar" I started breathed out softly "DRACARYS" I shouted with the pain only a woman would understand. Looking to Laena who had her arms out and a smile then to my father who was running to us with horror on his face, vhagar let out a mournful roar let out her flames soak us in the heat. "NOVA NO" he stopped dead watching as his daughter and wife get burned falling to the ground hitting his knees with agony on his face holding onto the necklace.
Knowing he'll have to tell the girls of their mothers and sisters death was not on his agenda. Bringing the girls out right away looking at the fire that was still bright and going strong brought truth to the girls as they hugged their father while listening to vhagars mournful song.
Bringing out the necklace from his pocket he held it out "what would you like to do with this?" silence filled the air "I want to give it to Nova" Rhaena said looking out at the fire "novas dead" daemon gritted out. A gasp caught daemon's attention looking up he sees his remaining daughters looking at the fire "NOVA" the twins shouted running down to the fire
Confused daemon ran after them catching up to them and grabbing their arms before looking up and freezing. There stood his first born daughter emerging from the flames with ashes in the vase she brought out hours before naked and ashy. Baela ran and gave nova her cloak to cover up, Rhaena ran to her and latched onto nova not wanting to let her go Baela joined in
"Y-you are unburnt?" "I'll answer your questions" with that we walked in
