Something was definitely not right.

Whether it's the air touching his skin with scorching tingles or the cold tiled floor he is walking on... something is not right.

Kill just sent that woman to her new room, just a floor above him where his troop's quarters are. Each cabin caters one person. Reason why there are twenty rooms there which is occupied by each of his personnel.

There's a common kitchen and dining for them to cook and eat, and a locker room where they can store their bath necessities and where they can dress up hastily, as well as shower rooms and toilet cubicles inside.

Nang ihatid niya ang babae ay walang tao sa buong palapag. Mukhang nasa labas pa sila. Sabagay, napakaaga pa naman para magpahinga.

He has a mission to do, a task from the military na pinasa sa Societas Custodes. And because he is an insider when the military was still handling it, Master thought it would be better for him to lead the case. That's what he is going to be busy with on Saturday.

He gasped, finally grasping what's wrong. He's been bothered by it kanina pa.

"It's not that that woman makes a big deal out of my nudity," Kill justified himself. He tilted his head to the side, feeling a bit arrogant. He doesn't need to shy away anyway, may ipagmamalaki naman siya.

Isa pa, why the need to be a gentleman now? Kill isn't even near of some sort.

Napabuntong-hininga siya. He decided to freshen up and forget about the unsettling embarrassment he never thought he would ever feel. It doesn't matter anyway.

It's not a big deal, he repeated inside his head (almost like convincing himself in which he refuses to admit).

The next day, Kill picked up the telephone and dialed Agent Yao's line. He spent the whole night going through her application papers and other records to do a background check. Paniguradong nagawa na iyon ng brotherhood. They investigate each person who joins before they qualify as trainees, then investigate again before they qualify as agents. Pero mas panatag si Kill kung magdodouble check siya lalo't biglaan ang naging pagdala niya sa babae sa kanyang personal team.

This is the least he could do to prove to himself that nothing is wrong with him.

He's doubtful and it's normal! He didn't know a single thing about that woman when he declared her to be in his force. Ngayon na may alam na siya tungkol sa babae, medyo napapanatag siya.

Totoong magaling si Yao. She has a very clean record. Since reservist siya, madalas siyang nagvovolunteer lalo na kapag may kalamidad. She has a clean track record but also very little experience. Three years na siya bilang reservist bago nag-apply sa Brotherhood. She had field works, and she specializes with acting and conning.

She's been one of the pawns in Societas Custodes ngunit hindi niya ito kailanman nakasalamuha sa mga misyon. They were assigned in different cases.

"She's perfect," Kill told himself.
