The next morning Satoru left early for work, he knew it was Kearizu's day off, he let her rest smiling at her. Afterwards he checked on Megumi, who was still sleeping like a rock on the couch. Satoru left the apartment with lazy and heavy steps. He wanted to stay all morning with them, but there was some training that Yuta needed to do. Although the main reason he woke up at 5am was a meeting with the higher ups; he was lately kind of pissed at them -more than usual-. They were supposed to include some special grade sorcerers for some updates but Kearizu was never invited. She had been a special grade for almost 10 years. Satoru had only seen her a couple of times for those reunions.
When he verified this information with Yaga, the only answer he gave was: "they still believe she was lying about her having the curse technique this entire time". But that wasn't what pissed Satoru... Not specifically at least. When he spoke with one of higher ups, they mentioned that it was because she is a woman and when it comes to fighting they don't want someone as emotional as Kearizu especially if it happens to be the same abrupt explosion of feelings that occurred when her father died.. That's why they were excluding her for some missions or important updates.
And it didn't make any sense, she was a teenager who saw her father being annihilated by a curse in front of her.
'Even I would've been emotional'.
When he got there, he felt bored, annoyed, unamused and many more adjectives on the negative side describing the situation he was involved in, way too often, at least 3 days per week he needed to assist to one of those, some days even twice during his working schedule depending on the matter.
As the meeting started he was able to see (or feel) the room filling up with each of those ancient cursed technique users, that for a normal human shouldn't even be alive. They were far too old and conservative for his liking. The rules that they created were also conservative and only existed to keep them above every other user of cursed energy.
-This is stupid-. He muttered as he heard the proposition of one of them, that suggested implementing council only for the clans that were relevant this past decade -there are plenty of excellent users that not necessarily are part of a good clan. Nanami Kento for example, his technique is remarkable and as far as we know he does not form part of a clan...
-Gojo...-Said Yaga in a rather lecturing way, so he was able to shut his act, the higher ups already seemed pissed, but they listened. Satoru easily is the most powerful of them all, without the Gojo clan there wouldn't be a founding in an economical matter for the school or any of them.
-It's true, besides there's also female users, like Rin Kearizu, from the forgotten Rin clan...-He paused to breathe since he was getting a bit agitated and defensive- Mei mei even with a remarkable technique is here, don't get me wrong her technique is amazing, but not a special class like Rin?
-We don't have her here since her father tricked us into thinking that she did not possess the technique--
-That is an interesting theory, but I used to go to their estate plenty of times since their library is very vast, and we all know this for a fact. The only thing I remember is Rin Akio always mistreating her own daughter for not possessing the technique-. Gojo locked eyes with Yaga who suddenly spoke.
-Do you think if she had it in the first place she would endure such mistreatment... Considering how Kearizu is?
The room went quiet, it was true, everyone knew Kearizu's personality, she was considered to have a bad temper for a young lady -meaning that she never stood quiet if she saw any injustice, even more after her father's tragedy.
Without any notice, Satoru decided that he was not done yet, Yaga knew he was right... but still felt a bit ashamed of his behavior, sometimes Satoru sounded so impertinent. Good thing was, he was direct, he would go straight to the point.
