Chapter 10 1/2:

Colors of blue, green, and pink seemed to laugh at me. The stars above me were mocking my childish thoughts. Just as I started to open my feelings to Colton, an obstacle appeared. I’m so stupid for even starting to like him. Isn’t this why I wanted to be a player in the first place?

I turned over and buried my face into my pillow. Last night was still playing over and over in my head: The way my heart started beating while walking with Colton, the heart shattering second when “Amanda” threw herself at Colton, and Lian taking me home in the most awkward car ride ever. Since my emotional self was hung-over last night, I ended up vomiting in Lian’s chest and lap. Yes, huge chunks of mildly digested food were splattered all over the hunk Lian.

What really bothers me though is that what bugged me the most about last night was that Colton disappeared on me…with that girl.

“Hurry up Rose! You’re going to be late for school!” my mom scram from downstairs.

I grudgingly got up from bed and walked over to my mirror. My hair stuck out in every which way and my eyes could be mistaken for the Grimm Reaper. Just another day in the life of me. As I turned to walk out my room, one of my glow-in-the-dark stars fell off.

A falling star…
