"HEY SPENCE, do you know why they keep looking at us?" seven questioned as she walked down the halls of beverly high school.
"nah i dont." he shrugged while walking over to one of the students who leaned against the lockers and replayed whatever it was on his phone. "hey, man, whats up? you mind if i see your phone?"
the kid looked up at spencer, obviously scared of what he wanted to see, "um, this phone?" he held it close to his chest.
"yeah." seven replied for him, making the kid quickly give spencer the phone and allowing him to watch the meme.
"i didnt create them, i swear." he hunched his shoulders, afraid of what spencer was gonna do. seven hung her head as she watched her brother's eyes flash with anger and resentment. "it just popped up in my group chat, then other people started forwarding it."
"you know how things go-" she interrupted him, "yeah shut up."
spencer dropped the phone while clinching his fists as asher and his friends entered the school. spencer instantly walked over to him, making jordan pull him back.
"spencer, spencer, spencer, spencer" jordan stopped him, "whoa. one fight, principal landon kicks you out. come on, you know that."
she watched the taller boy hold her brother back from going to attack asher. she knew that he deserved it so it would be pointless if she stopped him.
"so i ain't supposed to stand up for myself?" spencer fumed.
"exactly. asher and his friends been pulling shit like this all week and he supposed to keep turning the other cheek?" seven approached them, taking up for her brother in the process.
"no, theyre just being them." he said as calm as he could since it was seven he was speaking to at the moment. "okay? they do this to everyone when they mess up a play, even me."
the twins scoffed, not falling for jordan's pity as spencer aggressively escaped from jordan's grip and followed behind his sister to their classes.
jordan sighed before shaking his head and went to class. he knew that they were both under pressure, especially spencer since he was new to the team but fighting wasnt gonna make anything better.
