CHAPTER SIX: CAN I BE YOUR RAIN?

Today's the day.

The day.

You know that day Sasuke agreed to go out with Naruto, to spend time with him outside of the school grounds.

Yeah, that day.

Well it was here and...

Deep breath in. Hold for 5 secs. Now release.

Sasuke was 2 seconds away from having a fully blown panic attack.

You can do this.

The two agreed to meet at the spot Naruto dropped him off at last time. After shooing away other curious faeries, his mother who for some reason had a camera (Sasuke was pretty sure she bought it just for the occasion), and his brother who wanted to "just talk" with Naruto.

Just talk my butt.

Sasuke thought with a snort at the time.

But now he was finally left alone. Alone, standing in the thickets of greenery, as he glanced at the road.

"Why is everyone making such a big deal out of this?" He asked himself aloud, his hands running along a tree trunk soothingly. He was currently in his faerie form, conserving his energy before Naruto showed up.

The young faerie sounded as if it was just no big deal, but the way his heart was thumping around inside him, made it seem as if his words were just gibberish.

Placing his hand on his chest, he could feel the muscle beating rhythmically under his own palm. Taking a deep breath once more, he felt his lips quirk up into a smile as he felt a few petals brush along his cheeks.

I'm glad I'm doing this.

The brushed caresses of the petals from the trees, the birds chirping along the tree lines, and the sway of the branches. It was as if nature was playing a soothing ballad just for him.

"Thank you." The words left his lips in a whisper.

He was ready. Shifting from faerie to human form in a matter of seconds, He was ready to try something new.

The sounds of tires screeching was now adding to the melody, but instead of yelling at the blond idiot behind the wheel, he found himself laughing. Naruto always seemed to make an entrance, no matter where he goes.

Stepping out into the sun, his thoughts were a bit jumbled but one emotion seemed to shine brighter than the others. Not the nervousness, not the dread, but the excitement of something new and exhilarating.

"Hey Sasuke! Are you ready for the most awesome experience of your life?"

Sasuke found his body moving, his head nodding as he reach for the door handle.

Bliss.

It was a beautiful day.
