CHAPTER SEVEN : What Spring Brings

Someone left the door to the huge bricked house, wide open, as if to say all are welcomed inside. Come on in murders! Feel free to take a look around and take whatever you want thieves.

Idiots.

Inside, the drones of bodies, some wet and sticky, huddle together in the tight humid space. Some were grinding against each other and some holding others close in a lip lock with a few clothes discarded. The air musky, and smelled heavy of alcohol.

Scratch that. Drunk Idiots.

"Gee, great." Sasuke mumbled under his breath as he tried to navigate his way through the crowd, following closely behind the tall bulky blond figure. Sasuke sighed in relief at the visual.

Any time that head of blond hair turned, the occasional look back of blue eyes making sure Sasuke was still close by, caused Sasuke's lips to twitch into a soft smile. He felt like he wasn't alone, and that he was safe, even though he was out of his comfort zone.

Spring was in the air, so the fact that it was wet and a bit muggy outside in the night air, didn't make it much better. Maybe they thought that they could open the door to let out some of the hot humidity from inside the, mansion like house, but no dice. Sasuke wish he could have told them, muggy and muggy just don't mix.

I'd much rather be outside though. At least outside, there is fresh oxygen being circulated instead of the recycled carbondioxed of drunk young adults.

Sasuke thought with a huff as someone bumped into him roughly, causing him stumble hard into a wide chest, tan muscled arms reaching around him to steady his unsteady sway. Onyx eyes met a bright light blue tie dye shirt that was snug and soft, a large rich orange frog with alarge gold medallion chain and a lit cigarette dangling from its slant lips, sat at the center of the shirt.

Naruto has such interesting fashion sense.

"Hey, asshole, watch were your going-" Naruto snarled at the guy who was clearly drunk, his hands balling into the guy's grossly stained shirt.

Most likely a booze .

"Hey, it's okay." Sasuke said softly, his hand landing on Naruto's fist, his fingers rubbing along calloused knuckles.

"But- Sasuke he-"

"I know, dobe." Sasuke said with a nod, he could feel eyes starting to stare at him, and it was making him feel a bit self conscious. Naruto looked at him as if he grew a second head, Sasuke was usually cutting, cold, and definitely not forgiving. But Naruto could see how Sasuke ducked his head, as if he wanted to hide from view.

Naruto swallowed hard as if to remind himself that Sasuke didn't go to parties. He didn't try to make friends with people. Sasuke was usually alone, and he bit off any hand that would reach for him.

Naruto got bit many times by him, and each time the lovable idiot still kept reaching. The thought made Sasuke give Naruto a reassuring smile, before he let his hand drop back to his side. His dark strands acting as, a bit of a shield from the on lookers.

Sasuke could tell the moment Naruto relented a bit, his fist easing some, as his tongue made a click in annoyance. The look Naruto gave Sasuke said it all:

Damn it, I have to be the bigger person, don't I?

Sasuke couldn't help the small snort that escaped him at the look of disbelief that was etched across Naruto's face.
