Chapter 6

Alexander Remero

In the dimly lit hotel room, everything seemed to narrow down to the barrel of Andrea's gun pointed at my head. The air was heavy with the weight of our opposing factions' animosity, yet amidst the tension, there was an undeniable current of something else.

After removing her mask and her dramatic gun to my head situation it's clear who i'm dealing with. Andrea Cortez, associated with the mafia through her greek family, our main rivals. She isn't here to target me which is obvious, my father was the target. I was clearly given his room by him as he fled to let me do the dirty work while he went to dictate the Caboisky mission. Im not entirely sure if she can recognize me, however the mission still isn't going her way, it can easily go my way.

Andrea stood with a fierce determination, her eyes locked on mine with a mix of defiance and uncertainty. Those green eyes reminded me of a striking emerald shade with the hint of brown they carried- I could feel the cold steel of the gun against my temple, its presence a stark reminder of the danger we both faced. But as I held her gaze, I couldn't ignore the magnetic pull that existed between us, a dangerous attraction that defied all logic.

"Andrea" I spoke calmly, keeping my hands raised in a gesture of surrender, yet my voice tinged with a raw intensity that matched the swirling emotions within me. "You don't have to do this."

Her expression wavered for a moment, a flicker of doubt crossing her features before she hardened her resolve. She's surprised I know who she is. My mind went back to the gun in her grip.

The sight of her standing there determined, only heightened the conflicting emotions I felt. Despite the perilous situation, I couldn't help but admire her courage and her body- fully standing, isn't much taller than me kneeling yet she still looks down at me.

"Why shouldn't I?" Her voice trembled slightly, betraying the nervousness beneath the surface as she struggled to maintain her composure.

I took a cautious step upward, the tension crackling in the air between us like electricity. "Because," I murmured, my voice low yet filled with urgency, "because I don't think you know what you're doing- Who you are with right now."

Her grip on the gun faltered ever so slightly. I could see the conflict raging within her, the struggle between duty and desire, between the lines we were both bound by and the unspoken yearning that simmered beneath the surface.

In that charged moment, I saw a vulnerability in her eyes that mirrored my own. Without breaking eye contact, I moved closer, my movements slow and deliberate. The space between us seemed to shrink with each heartbeat, the heat of her body drawing me in despite the danger that loomed overhead.

"Tell me why I shouldn't," she whispered, her voice barely audible above the pounding of our hearts.

I reached out, gently pushing the gun away from my head, our hands brushing in a fleeting touch that sent a jolt of electricity through me. Her eyes widened.

"Because," I murmured, my voice thick with unspoken emotions, "because I don't want you to."

My thoughts rushed in my mind of what I could possibly do to keep her here with me. Her body in that dress spoke to me and i wanted to do nothing but take it off, her hand flickering with mine did things it definitely shouldn't, and i just want to-

I mean I want to keep her HERE to know her mission with my father, how she wished to assassinate him so boldly.
