"Oliver came to see me today." Laurel said speaking for the first time since showing up at my company.

"I guess it didn't go well for Oliver." I said as Laurel smirked before she grabbed my hand.

"Will you please look at me Jacob?" Laurel asked as I lifted my head letting her look into my guilt ridden eyes.

"I really missed you J." Laurel said as she wiped the silent tear the slid down my cheek.

"I couldn't face you after what happened to Sara, that's why I didn't come see you." I stated as Laurel nodded before she moved to the seat closest to me.

"I don't blame you Jacob, I never did." Laurel stated as I sighed.

"I'm not that same man you knew Laurel, he died on that boat." I said as Laurel grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"You may think that, but I still see him behind all that pain you are carrying in your eyes." Laurel spoke as I softly smiled.

"You always could see past my darkness." I said making Laurel laugh before our drinks came which I paid for before we grabbed our drinks and walked back towards the company.
