Yang parked her motorcycle. Stepping off of it, she heard the sounds of students chatter, vehicles slowing moving in the distance, and the city's hustle and bustle.

The tall newly marbled staircase led to a new University, Guardian University. Separate from the academies, the university offered training and places for folks to finish degrees they started before the War or attend without becoming a Huntress or Hunter.

Yang smoothed out her biker leathers, and got another helmet ready.

She looked up again, to see her wife approach her from the staircase. A small briefcase in her hand, and wearing a fashionable black pinstripe suit.

Blake made her way to where Yang stood.

Yang grinned in her direction, "Hey you. Fancy a ride on the bike?"

Blake tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, "Well, now I am glad I didn't choose to wear the skirt with this outfit today."

"Would have made the ride much more exciting." Yang teased.

Blake shook her head, her cheeks turning red.

Yang pulled her closer, "I'm only teasing, dear."

Blake looked up, "Oh I know."

The two kissed each other before Yang handed Blake the helmet.

While Blake put on the helmet, Yang put the briefcase in the back.

"Mind if we make a pit stop before we stop at home?"

Blake sat on the bike, "Sure. Where is this pit stop?"

Yang got on the bike, saying before she started it, "Oh, you'll see. It is quite the surprise."

The two turned a corner, Blake grasping Yang's waist as tightly as could. Blake could see the trees going by, but she trusted Yang's driving abilities.

The bike began to slow. Blake sat up a bit, and looked around, taking off the helmet.

There were tall trees lined up against a cobblestone path.

"Where are we?"

Yang got off the bike, removing her helmet as she spoke, "I came here a few days ago with the M.I.C.E. The area was originally going to be a training area for the newly founded police academy. Yet, the team decided we needed more places for people to walk around and enjoy being outside."

The two began to walk down the path, the tree leaves whispering as the sunlight flickered between the leaves.

Yang took Blake's hand, "And that's not the best part. Look up ahead."

Blake's cat ear twitched, as the sound of running water was heard.

Up ahead was a fountain. The circular base caught the water that lightly scattered from the tall, carved sculpture in the center. The base was wide enough for people to sit on.

"Oh Yang, it is so nice and calm here."

"I thought so too."

"What about the gym?"

Yang shrugged, "I'm sure there are other places I can go. We still have one inside the main building, despite how cramped it is. But here, people can take a moment to sit and breathe and hopefully find a sense of peace."

"Especially after all that happened during the War. People all over New Remnant suffered physical wounds, but the mental and emotional ones take even longer to heal from."

Yang clicked her tongue, "Don't give me a lecture right now, Dr. Blake Belladonna Xiao Long."

Blake let out a laugh, "I will spare you all the details of how the War was able to grant equality for the Fanus."

"Just like you wanted?"

"Well, yes." She paused and looked up at Yang, "Now I have you too."

Yang gave a smile, and fiddled around her pocket.

Blake looked at the fountain, admiring the structure and how the water flowed from the top into the bottom.

"Here."

Blake turned around to see Yang holding out a silver coin.

"Wait, can we?" Blake asked.

Yang shrugged, "I don't see why not. Come on, I'll do one with you."

Blake accepted the coin. She held it close to her heart.

"I've never done this before. With resources scarce on Menagerie, we didn't have too many fountains."

"But now you do. You get to make a wish and throw the coin in the fountain."

Blake nodded. She closed her eyes, let out a deep breath, and tossed the coin into the fountain.

The coin went in with a plop and sank to the bottom.

Yang's coin followed a few seconds later, the two coins sitting side by side against the marble floor surrounded in water.

"That's it?" Blake asked.

Yang laughed, "Yep. That's it." she paused, "Orrr unless you want to tell me what you wished for."

The two started back down the path towards where the motorcycle stood.

"Yang, I can't tell you or it won't come true." Blake teased.

"Oh, okay then." Yang said and pretended to pout.

Blake giggled, watching as the sun attempted to set behind the clouds.

Blake spoke up softly, "I would wish for this all over again."

Yang stopped in the path.

Blake turned to face her.

A gentleness in Yang's eyes pulled Blake closer to her.

Wrapped in each other's arms, the two shared a kiss.

With wishes and kisses fulfilled, and hearts full of love, the two got ready for their motorcycle ride home, riding off into a pink, orange, and yellow sunset.

The end.
