At the end of the hallway there were two ways. One going down left and one going right. Since Jordan was the brave one and she knew we needed each other she decided that she would go down the right one alone. That leaves me and Jayden going down the left one together. We all made a silent agreement that this would be our meeting/check in spot. Every two hours that way we make sure everyone is safe and we cover a lot of ground as well. As Jordan went down her hallway we went down ours. We were walking for a little while and we came to a narrow hallway. Jayden gulped and looked down the hallway. "Sara, that looks really small, and um I don't know if you remember this, but I don't do good in small spaces." I turned my head to get a better view of what was to come. "Oh Jayden, come on you will be fine. Remember we used to love to go cave exploring." I said, trying to convince him to come with me into the hallway. Taking the smallest towards the hallway. "Yeah. We loved to do it, until I got stuck that one time and it took four hours to get me out. Do you know how scary and embarrassing and painful that was?" Jayden let out a deep breath trying to control his breathing. Taking deep breaths in and out. "Okay that was true." I admit "but who was the one person who stayed by you all four hours and was there for you with the trauma that came with that event." I reminded him. "You." He said, realizing I was right. "Now come on, I will hold your hand." I said, stepping into the Narrow hallway with my hand out. We couldn't go in the way we had been walking all the way. It was just too narrow. Right before I actually took a step into the hallway I stopped. "Why did you stop?" asked Jayden, curious not wanting his anxiety to build up again. "Wait, listen..." we stayed completely silent and heard a little stream going. "What the hell?" I stepped down and it was a stone bridge. Before Jayden took a step down I warned him "Be careful they can be slippery." Him and I carefully walked across the stepping stones. As finally as we got out, I asked Jayden. "Hey, did you bring the bags?" He adjusted the bag on his shoulder. "Yeah, but I emptied all of our bags and just put what we needed in one bag." I looked at him knowingly. "Yes Sara, I brought the water bottles. We filled them up with water from the stream and took off again.
