Ever since she was a child, Kiara Miller has been suffering from the chronic illness of being lazy. She even only began walking at age 5 because she used to think of playing or moving on her own as too tiresome.

"Claire! Wake up or you'll be late again!" Claire's mother, Mrs. Daisy Miller was an early bird, on contrast to her daughter she would wake up at 5 every day but despite her many attempts even she couldn't help her daughter reach school on time.

*Mumbling* "two more minutes...ugh" Claire reached her hand out of the warm blanket to find her phone "7:48 am!? It's already this late!?" Checking the time woke her up completely, she got up and quickly threw her school uniform on then rushed down the stairs to the kitchen

"Mum! Mum! Why didn't you wake me up earlier? It's already so late that even if I hitched on a BMW I still wouldn't make it!" She said, while panicking.

Her mother turned around to face her whilst still holding the pan which she was using to cook eggs "enough Claire! Don't blame me for your own irresponsible behaviour!" She placed the omelet in the steel tiffin box that was lying on the counter. Claire quickly grabbed it and put it inside her bag.

Claire's parents had paid for the school bus to pick their two kids up every morning, but because Claire always missed it they gifted her a second hand bicycle for Christmas.

As Claire rushed out the door she noticed that her bike was missing from its usual spot. In its place was a small note lying on the ground "Claire I'm taking the bike today, goodluck." signed -your dear brother.

With no other option left, she ran at her best speed while cursing her brother "Ryan you jerk! Why did you-!!"

At the school gate was the student president standing with his sharp eyes peeled to the road Claire took every morning.

Claire, in a Huffing voice "I made it..."

"Oh, Claire Miller you're finally here. I was wondering how more long I would need to stand here in the sun." sarcastically

"You know, you don't need to wait for me at all, Asa. But you're so obsessed with punishing me.." Claire replied

"That's right. But you know, for my lovely Claire I have decided that I will not ask you to run laps at the ground anymore." Asa smirked

Claire, being cautious "Why that mischievous grin..? What are you going to do if not make me run laps?"

Asa's smile grew wider "The thing is, the previous secretary of the student council has transferred schools and as you know how hard it is for us find people who want to join....so, I thought about asking a certain person who wouldn't be able to decline the role."

"

No way, are you nuts?" Claire laughed loudly not being able to hold back "If you're really thinking what I'm guessing, the answer is NO. I will never join that boring group!"

"Oh, you will. After all, it's either this role or being expelled from school." Asa, who had already prepared for this, grinned
and continued "according to the rules, you will be expelled right away if someone informs the principal of your late record."

The shock took the place of her smile as the thoughts of her parents finding out about her being kicked from school filled her mind.

Claire took a moment to recover and replied "I will do it. I will do as you say."
