"Two banks in one week? Yeah, I mean....these guys are skilled!" Harvey exclaimed after going through the lead for the umpteenth time and still coming up with nothing.
"These guys had a clean sweep. There's no way they did not have someone on the inside working with them" Anna butt in with her feet dangling lazily from the table she sat on.
Sighing, Matthew who had hunched over all the photos and evidence laid on the table finally spoke.
"We need Donny in on this. We've checked the leads, everyone at both crime scenes has been interviewed and we still got nothing. Only thing we know is that any of the hundreds of banks in Coast city could be their next target" He said deflated
They had just been presented with the case the previous day and to say it was frustrating would be an understatement. The management had put pressure on them to come up with something as soon as possible.
"You checked all the leads except this"
The four in the room turned to the door where the voice had come from.
Donny!
Finally, their team leader had arrived. They all stood to make room for him at the table.
"What do you got for us Dee?"
Michael who had been quiet all along asked a little excited, knowing Donny always had a good lead.
"Abraham O'Neil. Does that name ring a bell?" Donny asked dropping the picture of the named person on the table.
"Yes. You mean the guy who worked at both banks?" Anna asked.
"Exactly, but didn't it seem suspicious to you that he worked at both crime scenes in less that two weeks of occurrence of the robberies?"
"I mean.....he couldn't stay unemployed right? He had to look for a job." Harvey stated.
"That's what I thought too. But forensics just came in. His finger prints matches with those in the fail safe. And in both banks"
"No way Bro!" Matthew exclaimed.
"Amateur move if you ask me" Anna reasoned. "Like, who goes robbing banks with their bare hands?"
Donny smirked at this.
"What will surprise you the most is this" He said, showing them the bank statements. "8:00am, 15th July was when he got employed at the first bank and BAMM! Next day, 10:00am there is a robbery".
"Don't tell me the same happened in the next bank" Matthew said with wide eyes.
"21st of July. Just last week" Donny continued.
"Shut up!" Anna whisper yelled, not believing this.
"He got employed at Saint west bank. Well not technically a bank but....it's a popular store for keeping valuables." Donny paused for effect.
"Next day 10:00am there was another robbery" He finished.
The room was silent as the team tried to absorb this new piece of evidence and a potent lead.
"Has he......You know....um" Michael stuttered.
"Way ahead of you bro. I sent his details to Evans from the tech team. I should get a respond in about...." He checked his watch. "..in about now".
Immediately his phone beeped in his pocket.
Donny checked his device and all colours washed out from his tanned face.
"Abraham O'Neil just got employed yesterday at Riverdale Corp" He said not believing his words.
"By my Calculations there should be another robbery in about fifty minutes" Michael reasoned in alarm.
"Wait! Isn't Riverdale this biggest Jewelry house in Coast city?"
"We gotta go!" Anna low-key yelled at them while loading her CAD105 pistol "I'll inform the whole team"
"We've got our guy! Let's move people!" Harvey shouted racing through the hallway.
