I'm Just A Reader

I've watched you suffer,
You must've wondered.
For I'm just a reader,
What I have discovered.

Why I care,
About lines and words, like you're my leader.
Why life wasn't fair,
But I can't help for I'm just a reader.

Lost in pages deep,
In every book I read, I find a home.
These words become the dreams I keep,
With all their lives shown.

For I'm just a reader,
There should be nothing sweeter,
Than being a keeper,
To these words that I believe go deeper.
