I gripped the steering wheel tightly as I drove through the bustling city streets, my thoughts focused on the task at hand. The clock on the dashboard ticked steadily, and I couldn’t help but grumble, "It took us forever to finish that project. But then again, it was Ayaansh and me working together.” The very thought made me roll my eyes. Our work sessions were always a mix of bickering and unproductive debates.

Finally, I arrived at my father’s office building. The sleek glass exterior reflected the bright afternoon sun, and I could see people moving about inside. I parked the car and stepped out, clutching the neatly arranged files that Ayaansh and I had worked on.

As I walked through the lobby, the usual buzz of activity filled the air. I gave a quick nod to a few colleagues I recognized before making my way to the elevators. Each step felt like it dragged on, the morning’s frustrations replaying in my mind.

When the elevator dinged at my floor, I walked down the hallway to my father’s office. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door.

“Come in,” my father’s voice called out.

I pushed open the door and entered, offering him a polite but weary smile. “Hi, Dad. I’ve got the project files Ayaansh and I finished.”

He looked up from his desk, his eyes scanning the files with interest. “Perfect timing. I was just about to review these. How did everything go?”

I set the files down on his desk and sighed. “It was a bit of a struggle, honestly. Working with Ayaansh is always… interesting.”

My father chuckled softly. “I can imagine. Let’s see how well you two managed.”

With a nod, I left his office, heading back to the elevator. As I walked away, I couldn’t shake the lingering irritation from the earlier office drama. It seemed that no matter how hard I tried, my interactions with Ayaansh always ended up being a chaotic spectacle.

After leaving my father's office, I headed back to my car, mentally preparing for the next task on my to-do list. I needed to make a quick detour to my own office to pick up some important documents. It was a bit out of the way, but I couldn’t afford to delay.

I slid into the driver’s seat and started the engine, my mind already racing through the rest of my day. Normally, it would take about an hour to reach my office from here. But with my driving—let’s just say I’ve been known to cut that time significantly. I always seemed to find a way to defy traffic laws and common sense, much to everyone’s dismay.

Today was no different. I wove through the traffic with a mixture of impatience and reckless efficiency, making it in just under 30 minutes. The thrill of speeding always made me feel alive, even if it wasn’t the safest choice.

But then, as if to remind me of the universe's sense of irony, my car suddenly sputtered and came to a halt in the middle of a less-than-busy street. The engine coughed a few times before dying completely. I tried to restart it, but the engine merely groaned in response.
