Book 2: Chapter 1

Deep in his thoughts was a boy, sitting at the cashier table as he was lost in his thoughts. Suddenly, a bang on the table made him flinch and snap out of his thoughts.

“I don't pay you for day dreaming!” his boss yelled as the boy hung his head low, too exhausted to argue.

“I-i am sorry Mr. Mingyu.” he said while fixing his gaze on the tiled floor as his boss let out a sharp breath.

“Just do your job properly ok?” his boss's voice softened slightly as Yoongi, his employee nods his head as he stood near the billing table.

“Any new orders?” Mingyu asked as Yoongi shook his head as a no, “None. We have been going low for past few weeks.” he states as Mingyu sighed.

“Look Suga- i.. I don't know how to put forward this, but...I need to cut off couple bucks from your pay check.” he said as Suga looks at him with wide eyes, in total shock.

“w-what but why?” he questioned as Mingyu sighed while pinching the tip of his nose.

“Business has been going low, and we have barely earned any bucks this month... unfortunately I can't help it.” he said as Suga sighs and nods in understanding.

“It's fine.” he replied as Mingyu flashed him a pained smile as he gently pats his shoulder, “I'm sorry.” he conveyed as he went out of the convience store, probably heading to his house.

Suga worked as a cashier in convience store in the main streets of Seoul. He had been working there for quite some months. This wasn't his only job.
   He would do cashier's job during the day and delivery boy's job from noon to late evening and then work as a cleaner in a restaurant from late evening to midnight.

A very hardworking boy he was, apart from all his jobs and tireless working hours. He would also visit Orphanage homes and pet shops, he would donate some of his money to them. Atleast even if it was $10 per month.

He has a little sister name Min Han-Mi, who was in his Busan with his mother. Suga would earn a sum of $1000 per month from all his odd jobs and send $300 of it to his mother and then he also had to pay his rent of $500 every month. Remaining sum he would save it up to buy groceries, and his necessities.

He would manage his life quite fine with juggling his jobs. What a man.

Anyways back to the story.

Suga was counting the total cash in the cashier's drawer and it was almost $130 only. He sighed as he started to arrange all the new food items that had arrived on the shelves.

He was busy doing his job when the door of the convience store opened with a 'ding' bell sound. It wasn't a huge convience store, pretty small and old one and that's why new generation were completely unaware of it's presence.

He noticed a girl wearing headphones entering the store as he went through the racks, looking completely lost. Suga being a polite man he was, approached her.

“May i help you?” he asked as the girl removed ger headphones and nods at him in embarrassment and hesitation.

“Do you...sell black bean noodles? I wanted to try out cause Y'know umm my bias idol Jeon Jungkook loves those.” he said sheepishly as I sighed, Kpop fans... atleast business was on due to it.

Suga nods as he went to the other corner as he brought 2 packs of Black Bean noodles. “Do you want a single pack or two?” he asked as he shook her head.

“Aniyo, I need 10 of these.” she said as Suga was shocked but then he nods and goes to bring 10 packs of Black Bean noodles.

“Anything else?” he asked while placing all the stuff in a paper bag, “Yeah, i wanted to buy a lot of stuff. Like Rice cakes, seaweed, Fresh Meat, Banana milk, boba tea pack Mint flavoured one, Parmesan Cheese, and some pickles.” she said as Suga was shocked but still packed her stuff according to her needs.

“Your total will be $1000 ma'am.” he said while placing all the stuff in a paper bag as the girl nods and hands her card to him as he swipes and transaction successfully takes place.

“Gamsamnida.” she said while bowing as Suga bowed slightly at her as well, a typical Korea culture to follow up.

The girl then left the store as Suga smiles internally while looking at the cash, he was greatful to the girl for buying so many items and now..he might get a decent paycheck this month as well.
