Keira's POVVal, Allie and Seb's laughs bring me out of my own head.
"Finally the bookworm acknowledges us" Seb says rolling his eyes.
"Sorry, it's a really good book if you wanna borrow" I say, I had just sat down at the table 5 minutes ago and I really wanted to finish the 3 pages I had left of it.
Today we were eating lunch with Allies friend group as well which was a nice change. All of her friends were lovely too.
It has been a week since the firework show, they were so pretty and those churros were amazing. My favourite part though was the walk home when Aaron carried Daisy because she had fallen asleep, it was so cute to witness.
As we all chatted amongst ourselves I gave everyone one of the lemon bars I had made last night.
"Mmmh these are great Keira, I never knew you loved baking too" Mike, one of the guys on Aaron's football team and one of allies closest friends said.
"You like to bake!?" I squealed. I loved meeting fellow food lovers.
Me and Mike chatted whilst recommending each other tips and recipes, I loved making new friends.
That afternoon I had gym class again. I hated gym class. This time though I felt it wouldn't be too much of a drag since Aaron was wearing a black compression shirt, yeah I think I could manage.
Today we were playing rugby, which if you think that sounds like a bad idea, it most definitely is.
I did not sign up for getting tackled, whats worse our coach is off today and we have some substitute teacher who doesn't know what he's doing. Or by the sounds of it how to play rugby, not that I'm much better myself.
As we got into teams I eyed up my opponents.
Aaron was on the other team looking much more ready for this than I was, sadly so was Allie and Seb.
Luckily Val was with me.
We were still in the hall since it was winter so it would be too cold to play outside so we were playing a sort of version of rugby instead of the real thing.
"I am terrified, why did the sub put basically all the football players on the same team, we're gonna get flattened, lucky Seb and Allie" Val said narrowing her eyes at the opponents.
"I know what are we even gonna do?" I sighed out just as our teacher blew his whistle.
Everybody started running around and all of a sudden Aaron had the ball and was sprinting towards our side of the hall.
Looking at the rest of our team in panic I realised everyone else was blocked so I done the most logical thing I could think of in that split decision moment.
Try to tackle Aaron.
I don't know if it was just my subconscious wanting to be closer to him but I knew it was a bad idea the moment I threw myself at him.
Why did I think I could tackle him, he threw me into a bush with no effort the first time met.
Surprisingly though when we made contact the element of surprise must have helped me since he slowed down and stumbled back slightly.
