Chapter Twenty-Nine: Motherhood

To some women who said motherhood was easy. They lied. Especially postpartum. Waking up in the middle of night several times. The baby not being able to go to sleep. Your fiance leaving and coming home late, because he has no choice.

The last 3 weeks have been really hard. Dakota has been waking up in the middle of the night screaming crying. I'm really not sure why. But when he's sleeping with me, he's fine.

I took him to the doctor, they said nothing was wrong. Am I doing something wrong? Does he just not like sleeping in the room by himself. Because when he's in the bed with me and Fiorenzo, he doesn't do that.

And don't get me started on breastfeeding. My boobs hurt so much. And this for a tiny human. But I love him to death. Aaliyah has been helping me. Holding him for me while I cook and clean. Alessia, Isla, and Maria have been a good help too.

I thank everyone so many times. They've been helping me while Fiorenzo leaves. I don't like it when he leaves though, it gets me worried. Now that we have two children.

He says I don't have to worry but I can't help it. It just scares me so bad. I don't want to think about losing him, but I think about it anyways.

It scares me about losing him. He's the love of my life for god's sake. "Hey Ma." Fiorenzo said. He kissed my lips then kissed Dakota's forehead.

"Hi, when did you get home?" I asked "As soon as Alessia called me saying you looked very tired." Fiorenzo said "Renzo..." I trailed off. "Nope. I'm not hearing it. You need a break. I'll take him. Go have some time alone." Fiorenzo said "But—."

"Women you hard him. Let's get our nails done." Alessia said, cutting me off. "Fine. But I don't wanna leave him." I said "Doll he'll be fine." Fiorenzo said. Fiorenzo took him from my arms.

I hated being away from Dakota, I hated being away from Aaliyah too. I kept fearing that something will happen. But there safe and sound with Fiorenzo, Diego, and Justin.

Me, Alessia, and Maria got into the car. "Okay now that all there of us are alone. How are you feeling?" Alessia asked "What do you mean?" I asked "Dinora it's clear that your scared about something." Maria said.

"Is it about Lola?" Alessia asked "No." I said quickly. "She isn't going to do anything. She's just not the best person to be around. She did unpleasant things to people. She might look innocent but she's really not." Alessia said.

"Yea but you never know. I mean we didn't expect my cousin to beat the hell out of my parents. So really you never know who capable of what." I said "She has a point Lessia." Maria said.

I got almond nails so I wouldn't scratch my baby. Any other time I would've gotten squared. "Can I ask why you driving so fast?" Alessia asked "Because we left a baby alone with our mans." I said.

"True but I don't think they'll do anything." Maria said "Yea Maria you weren't here when we adopted Aaliyah. And trust me you don't wanna know at all." I said.

We walked inside, I closed the front door. I heard Dakota crying. "Finally." Fiorenzo said. He handed me Dakota. He stopped crying he second he laid on my chest.

"Aww did you miss mommy." I cooed "How is he already a momma's boy?" Diego asked "Because his momma spent hours in birth. And he came out of me." I said.

It is around the time that I feed him, he might be hungry. I sat on the couch and leaned back. I placed the baby blanket over Dakota. He latched onto my breast.

My sweet baby. "Wait where's my other baby?" I asked "Sleeping. She said she wasn't going to help us." Diego said "Someone's getting sassy." I said.

"And where is she getting the sassiness from?" Fiorenzo asked "Not me." I said.

After I was done feeding Dakota. I put him down for a nap. Of course I left the bedroom door open, just in case he started crying.

I walked into me and Fiorenzo's room. He was sitting on the edge of the bed. "My beautiful fiance." Fiorenzo said. He held his arms out. I got into his lap.

"I can't wait to call you Mrs. Leone." Fiorenzo said "I like the sound of that." I said. I leaned my head down and kissed him. His hands ran down my back and into my ass.

Then, we heard a thud. "What the hell?" I asked. I got off of his lap, and ran to Dakota's room. I looked into the crib. "He's not here!!" I screamed.

How could this happen? Someone took him. How though? We didn't tell anyone I gave birth. Only my parents knew. We didn't tell anybody else.

I should've just kept him in my arms. Fiorenzo grabbed me and turned me towards him. "I already know what's going on in your mind. Don't blame yourself." Fiorenzo said.

He was right. I needed to stop thinking like this. "We're going to find him alright." Fiorenzo said. Wait a second.

I looked at the window. "Renzo whose bracelet is that?" I asked. I grabbed it off the  floor. "Fucking Lola." Fiorenzo said "She took him?" I asked.

"It looks like it." Fiorenzo said "Renzo I told you to watch out for her. And now our child is gone." I said. Wait what about Aaliyah.

I quickly went to her room. "Aaliyah?" I asked. No no no. Not her too. "She couldn't have taken both of them at the same time. Someone helped her." Diego said.

My babies are gone. "She must've took Aaliyah when we weren't watching her." Justin said "You guys said she was sleeping!!" I yelled "Calm down Doll." Fiorenzo said.

I can't just calm down. I can never be fucking happy without someone ruining it. Is it to much to as for people to leave us the hell alone.
