The school cafeteria was bustling with students, as it was lunchtime, basically everyone's favorite. Some students were enjoying their meals with friends, others were wandering around, and a few were resting their heads on the tables, napping amidst the chaos. The cafeteria was as chaotic as ever. Jieun sighed, taking in the lively atmosphere before turning back to her lunch and taking a sip of her apple juice.

"Even this juice sucks." She thought to herself, mentally rolling her eyes. Her thoughts were soon interrupted by her best friend, Sohyun, sitting in front of her. "What are you thinking about?" She asked, curiosity all over her face. "Thinking about whatever is going on here. It's so loud here and chaotic, it'll give me a headache." Jieun looked at her with an annoyed expression all over her face, causing Sohyun to chuckle at her state.

"At least, None of your fans are around you this time." Sohyun said mischievously, emphasizing the word “fans”.

Jieun couldn't help but think about it. Indeed, her so-called fans were out of her sight today, which she was really grateful for. As the Rank 2nd of her school, Yoon Jieun has a lot of followers, basically fangirls/fanboys. It's nice having fans around you but it gets creepy when they start acting like a stalker instead. That's what she felt. Glad, she took action before anything could get worse.

"Well, I'm glad they're gone. I'm free from being stalked... For now." She shook her head, massaging her temples. "Anyways." Sohyun cleared her throat. "Leave this. At least it's gone now. So.. have you heard about the new rumor about Hanbin and Hana-"  She immediately stopped talking when she noticed Jieun glaring at her. "I don't wanna hear anything about them." She gave a straightforward response. "I absolutely hate Hana and you know that very well. She tries her best to get Hanbin's attention and guess what? She always succeeds! It's annoying, you know?" She scoffed, leaning against the chair.

Sohyun sighed, shaking her head in disbelief. "Look, I know Hana is a bitch but it's not her fault. It's Hanbin's fault. He's the one who broke up with you." She said, tilting her head to get a better look of her best friend.

Jieun rolled her eyes, looking away, "The reason of him breaking up with me is fucking weird like what do you mean I'm toxic? How can he even find me toxic?"

"...if I'm being honest, you are, kinda. Don't get me wrong." Sohyun chuckled, "like look at you now. It's been a year since your breakup, Yoon Jieun. When will you move on? Hanbin moved on but you didn't-"

"It's because I still like him, Sohyun!" She interrupted, shutting her mouth immediately.

"I still like him. I tried my best but I couldn't. I cannot accept the fact he broke up with me. I treated him so nicely and this is what I get? I'm telling you, Hana is the reason of our breakup." She leaned against the chair, closing her eyes. "I know, I shouldn't be saying these to Hana but I can't help it. Don't worry, I will get over this. I'm just in denial." She muttered under her mouth, looking back at Sohyun, only to see her in deep thoughts.

"What are you thinking?"

"I got an idea." She cut her off.

Jieun’s forehead creased as she looked at her friend with confusion. "An idea? What is she thinking about?" She wondered.

"What idea?"

"You want Hanbin back, Right?" Sohyun asked.

Jieun nodded, her curiosity piqued.

"And you want revenge on him for breaking your heart." Sohyun continues

"Yes yes.." Jieun replied, sipping her drink.

She nodded before plastering a mischievous smile on her face, "Date  Zhang Hao."

[ Yoon Jieun's POV ]

"Date Zhang Hao." Sohyun said with a slight smirk on her face.

Not my rival..

"What?! Are you insane? Why the hell will I date that guy? You know we're rivals!"

Yes, Zhang Hao and I are academic rivals, basically immortal enemies. We never got along from the first day. Actually, it's my fault. I never got along with him, he tried but when he saw I was being a bitch, he ended up showing his true colors. We both are the best students in our school. Ever since he came into my life, he ruined everything. He took my place, the 1st place.. and the worst thing is, He's a great friend of Hanbin. They're best friends actually. We stopped talking when my relationship with Hanbin ended but the rivalry didn't stop there. It never did.

"Oh come on, that's the best part. Plus It's not even a real relationship, it's a fake one. Zhang Hao and Hanbin are best friends. It'll definitely affect him. Jealous or not, at least you'll talk to him through Zhang Hao. Just go with my plan. I'm sure he'll agree with my 'master plan' " She said, emphasizing the last two words.

"Keep your master plan to yourself. I don't need it. I won't date a nerd." I scoffed.

"Says the one who's a nerd herself.." She mumbled under her breath but I heard it anyway.

Then someone caught my attention. It was Zhang Hao and his other friends. I kept my gaze on him as he kept talking to his friends in a good mood. Hanbin was one of them, Of course but then I frowned after seeing the person beside him. It was Hana, obviously. I rolled my eyes and immediately looked at Sohyun, who was already looking at them, smiling like an idiot.

"Damn, I guess the rumors are right." Sohyun said, crossing her arms.

"What rumors?!"

"You said you didn't wanted to know!" Sohyun points out.

I rolled my eyes, shaking my head in disbelief. She did not bring that up now.

"I take it back. What rumors??"

She shrugged before speaking, "that Hanbin and Hana are dating. I don't know if it's true or not but it looks like it."

I glanced at them and I almost scoffed, "he has a bad taste in women."

"Yeah, that's why he dated you."

I shot Sohyun a glare. She looked at me and chuckled after seeing my expression. Fucker...

She cleared her throat, sitting properly, "Just trust my plan, Jieun, If you really want Hanbin back. Talk to your rival after school, that's it. If it doesn't work, then leave it." She almost pleads. I sighed, thinking about it.

Maybe, I should give it a try...
