Emilia was slumped on a sofa in the common room as she and Hermione were waiting on the boys to come down to breakfast. "Why can't we just get them there I'm so hungry I could be sick." Emilia moaned.

"If they're not here in two minutes we can go." Hermione said as she leaned against the arm of the sofa, not even a minute later and the boys were making their way down from the dormitory's. Greetings were exchanged as the group were heading out before Hermione stopped them. "I can't believe it!"

A giant sign placed on the Gryffindor notice board.

"Well...can't say I didn't expect that" Emilia said with her hands on her hips. "Oh well, time for my fry up!" She clapped and began to walk away when Hermione pulled her back. "No, no, no, you three can stand and talk about this, I am hungry." She finished before she made her way to the great hall and piled her plate with different foods. She was about to dig in when Angeline Johnson came up to her.

"Hi Emilia, have a good summer?" Emilia hadn't even opened her mouth before the girl spoke up again. "I've been made Gryffindor Quidditch Captain." The tall girl stated.

"Oh Angelina that's amazing! Congratulations." Emilia praised as she picked up a piece of crispy bacon, just how she liked it.

"Yeah thanks Emilia, anyways we need a new Keeper so tryouts are on Friday at five o'clock, the whole team needs to be there so could you tell Harry when you see him? Perfect." Angelina turned on her heel sharply out of the great hall leaving Emilia at the table.

"Okay..." She said to herself as she dug into her black pudding when she was bothered yet again. The twins had graced her with their presence.

"Where are the sad ol' chums?" Fred asked a faux pout forming on his lips. as he sat across from the younger girl.

"Starving probably- oh Hermione is cross with you." She said turning to face George who took the empty seat beside her. "Both of you." She said before taking her black pudding and dipping it in her egg yolk.

"Nothing to worry about, she's always cross at something." George shrugged it off as he reached over to collect some toast from a nearby plate.

"Yeah but now she's a prefect so she's going to be on you like mad crazy- Hermione!" Emilia smiled at her best friend who came to sit on her left.

"I heard you." Hermione said flatly.

"Well it's nothing I wouldn't say to your face." Emilia said continuing to eat her breakfast.

McGonagall was making her way down the Gryffindor table handing out the students new timetables. "Please have Care for Magical Creatures first" Emilia whispered and crossed her fingers.

"Unfortunately not dear." McGonagall said as she laid the timetable out in front of her goddaughter. Emilia's eyes skimmed over the sheet of parchment before piping up.
