Their brain flooded with questions, each one of them concluding a theory but somehow it all clashed together, they all had the same conclusion.
They now very well knew, Park Jimin was definitely onto something, or it was all just coincidence.
Haneol refused to believe the latter, at this point they can't term everything as a coincidence.
"Yes, how may I help you?" The voice of an older man, made Haneol snap back to the present.
They were onto the next house, the victim being Han Jisu.
Jungkook repeated the same protocol, but this time he changed the name of the University. The older man stood still for a moment contemplating, he finally nodded letting them in.
Han Jisu, was their youngest daughter, the elder Son works abroad, while the second eldest daughter was married and stayed with her husband in Seoul.
"Han Jisu, oh- my dear daughter" The old man tried to keep his tears in check, as he shivered.
His walking stick fell due to his loss of support, Byeol-a being the nearest to him held the old man by his shoulders.
"Ajhusssi you have no one to help you around?" Dalny asked once they say down, knowing very the man was too weak to walk around and help himself.
His eyes teared at that again, hands lifting up as he pointed at a room present in the corner. Four of them got up, they walked across the Hall.
Jungkook hesitated a bit to open the door, and glanced at the old man who nodded his head in approval.
He opened the door, they were welcomed by the stench of medicine and smell of flowers lingering in the air.
Haneol felt her heart break looking at an old woman laying on a bed, few machines next to her supporting her to stay alive.
"She has chronic kidney disease" A voice right behind Haneol stuttered.
Her heart felt heavy knowing the amount of emotions that hid behind the old man's shaky voice, he walked ahead slowly and sat down on the chair in front of her.
"She is my wife, isn't she pretty?" The love pouring out from his eyes, made them want to cry.
"You asked who help me around? She, it's her, she is the reason why I'm still alive. The minute her last breath is drawn, so will I fall dead next to her" Thick fat tears rolled down the old man's face, as he clutched her bony fingers in her hands .
"It all went downhill the moment our berry went away from us. Both of my children blamed us for the misfortune and I agree to that. It was us who allowed her to go, she begged and we didn't have the heart to say no. Only if I- said no" His head bent down on their intertwined fingers, his figure shook badly.
Jungkook rubbed his hands on the old man's back, who sniffed back his tears before sitting up.
"We've waited over for years, she- believes our daughter is still alive but I don't- I don't want her to struggle for so many years without us. My daughter shall be at peace in heaven, she didn't deserve a father like me-" Haneol walked forward to him, bending down on her knees as she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"Please Mr. Han, don't do this to yourself. You were never at fault for this and to make sure the truth is out we are all doing this. You may laugh at us all you want, wondering how professional police officers left the case hanging and suddenly some bunch of students want to solve it."
Haneol felt movement behind her, guessing from the tall stature she knew it was Dalny.
