I roll off Lando but he holds me to him, both of our breaths heavy as we come down from our high. Silence falls over our hotel room for a few minutes as we lay together, his hands caging in my waist, and my hand tracing absentmided circles on his bare chest. His trophy, proudly engraved with the number one, sits on the dresser beside the TV. He'd barely managed to put it down before grabbing me when we got to our hotel room a few hours ago.

"We should probably get ready," I groan but I make no move to get up. Carlos, Oscar and Blake had all made Lando and I promise to come out tonight to celebrate Lando's first win. The club is just down the street, less than a five-minute cab ride away and there is no reason for us not to go. Except the obvious of course. Staying in bed with him for the rest of the night sounds pretty appealing right now.

Lando groans, the sound reverberating through his chest. "I know." His brown hair, messy from my hands running through his soft curls, fans over the pillow as he looks at the clock on the nightstand. "We have an hour."

I sit up more fully, dragging the twisted sheets with me. "I'll shower first."

I can hear Lando laugh and he grabs my hands again, halting my efforts to get off the bed. "Taking turns? You do realize I have seen," he lowers his head to place a delicate kiss on the skin where my neck meets my collarbone. "Tasted," Lando moves his left hand, the one not supporting his weight to slide between my thighs. "Felt, every part of you?"

I smile, leaning down and placing a quick kiss on his lips. "Yes, but if we shower together, we'll be late." I almost protest as his hand slides higher on my thigh. I shove his hand away even though I don't want to. "And I told Blake I wouldn't make you late to your own party."

Lando scoffs, the sound more like a rush of air through his nose as he smiles. "Fine. Five minutes, then I'm joining. But only because I fear Blake."

I shift on the bed, throwing my legs over the side out of Lando's grasp. I opt to leave the sheets on the bed with him, so I walk naked toward the bathroom. The short, compact carpet softens my footfalls. "You don't fear me?"

I look back over my shoulder to see him smirk. "No Dev, you terrify me."

I smile and dip into the bathroom, shutting the door behind me. I quickly shower and keep the water on the colder side not wanting to risk anything today. I manage as well to dodge Lando from joining me so we both end up having time to get ready. While he showers, the low sounds of water hitting the shower floor in the bathroom echo in the small hotel room as I pull out my dress for tonight. It's a slim-fitting black dress with a neckline that makes my chest look like it exists and the slit in the thigh runs high enough up my leg that I had to shave to my hip in the shower. Most of my jewellery is silver, so I grab for a silver heel and when I'm putting the last backing on my earring Lando steps out of a still-steaming bathroom. He's taken at least twenty minutes in the shower himself, likely taking a minute to himself to take in the events of the day.

He smiles and adjusts the low-hanging towel on his waist. "You look stunning Dev," the grumble in his voice is starting to sound more familiar to me. One that hints at other kinds of activities and in our case, not going out at all. I put out my hand stopping him in his tracks when he tried to step closer to me.

"Fifteen minutes Lan, then we're leaving," I point to the door and Lando laughs, the sound rumbling in his chest.

"Okay, okay, fine."

We somehow managed to make it to the club only ten minutes after I texted Blake we would be here so I'm happy. For a lot of moments after we got into Lando's car to leave the race track earlier I thought he and I may not make it here tonight at all. But alas, as our cab pulls up at the front door and Lando hands him a few bills to pay for the ride we're sucked into the celebration that is him tonight and I'm glad for it. He deserves this and deserves to celebrate.
