Naomi and Mason have been best friends ever since they met in 2020 when they were casted to play in The Black Phone. The two were inseparable. Always together. No matter what, they were best friends. They never ever in a million years thought that they would be anything more than that. That was until something happened that changed Mason's whole perspective.
And since then, he's been feeling weird. Everything was messed up. This was never supposed to happen. They were best friends and that's it. So why does Mason feel like he could hug Naomi and just keep her in his arms? Why does he want to kiss her face? That's not what a person should feel about their best friend.
It was freaking him out. He felt scared. Because Naomi has never been anything more than a friend. The two have always denied whatever feelings anyone else insinuated. And now? Now he can't deny it.
