Months passed, Xavier grew distanced from Lucien. Often staying with his Mother in her cottage, Azathoth kept a close eye on Xavier, since the cracks on his face finally collapsed, revealing blackened skin on half of his face. He kept a voided mask on his face most of the time, keeping his skin hidden.
There was a masquerade ball Azathoth and Lucien managed to convince Xavier to attend. He got into his best clothing and went with his father to the kingdom, entering the front entrance. The ball was extravagant, everyone wearing beautiful masks. Xavier felt nervous, Azathoth smiling at him. "Dont worry starlight, maybe you can find someone here." Azathoth said softly. "No one is like him..." Xavier said, looking sad. Azathoth sighed and said, "well, why dont you go enjoy yourself, ill see you towards the end of the ball." Xavier nodded and Azathoth disappeared into stardust, Xavier making his way upstairs to the balconies. His skin was sore, setting his hand on the mask, he sighed, ashamed of what he was becoming. He heard someone step behind him, saying, "may i join you?"
Xavier saw a man stand beside him, smiling with a beautiful silver and black mask on his face. "Whatever.." Xavier sighed. "Why have you come to be alone?" The man asked. "Because i dont want to see anyone." Xavier said firmly. "I see, is it okay if im here?" The man asked. "Do what you please, i dont care." Xavier said. The man chuckled, resting his arms on the balcony railing. "May i ask a question?" The man asked. "What is it?" Xavier asked. "If you could have anything in the world, what would it be?" The man asked, smiling. Xavier paused, his heart growing heavy. "I want him back." Xavier mumbled, tearing up. The man delicately took Xavier's hand, kissing Xavier's hand. Xavier finally looked at the man, seeing his mask was off. Xavier recognized the long black hair, the grey horns, grey eyes, and that stupid smile Xavier oh so adored. The only difference was the streak of blonde through his hair. "Norixx..?" Xavier mumbled, making Norixx chuckle. "Wish granted, hm?" Norixx said softly, Xavier backing away from him. "No..t-this is the worst time-! Y-You dont want to see me.." Xavier said, holding his mask to his face tightly. "Xavier, its okay, please." Norixx said softly, stepping towards Xavier. Xavier backed into a corner, groaning in pain as he gripped his mask. "Xavier, honey.." Norixx said, realizing Xavier was attempting to teleport, grabbing Xavier's wrist. The two appeared in Xavier's home, Xavier ripping his hand away from Norixx, rushing to the bedroom. He locked the door, blocking it with his body. Norixx was on the other side of the door, sighing. "What is it-? We can talk this out-! Please.." Norixx pleaded, Xavier not responding. "Ive been alone for months..i had to beg your mother to make me a starchild...please.." Norixx mumbled, hearing Xavier begin to cry. "I-I've changed...i-i dont want to hurt you.." Xavier sobbed, memories flooding back to him.
(Flashback)
"Let me go-!!!" Xavier cried, a man dragging him into an alley in the city. "Cmon sweetheart, just make this easy." The man said, pushing Xavier against a wall, attempting to remove his clothing. Xavier cried in fear, his eyes beginning to glow. Within a moment, the man's head was immediately sliced off, his body dropping to the floor along with his head. Xavier looked horrified, rushing out of the alleyway, trying to wipe the blood off his face.Xavier winced at the memory, hearing Norixx say, "You wont hurt me, Honey. I know you're scared, but im here now." Xavier felt comforted by the words, removing his mask and opening the door. Norixx saw the blackened half of Xavier's face, giving Xavier a smile as he kissed him. Xavier was picked up, Norixx kissing him all over his face. "Ah-! Norixx-!!" Xavier said, beginning to laugh. "Theres that handsome smile." Norixx said, kissing Xavier's forehead. Xavier smiled, beginning to tear up, hugging Norixx tightly. "I gotcha honeybun." Norixx hummed.
