Epilogue

I watch my best friend finishing getting married to the love of her life with tears in my eyes and joy in my heart.

I turn to Mitchel knowing that our wedding is just around the corner.

I look to little Malachi Cove Cave, me and Mitchel's beautiful little boy.

Who would have thought.

I always thought I never wanted children.
But I was just with the wrong guy.

He's a mini Mitchel, I can tell you that for sure.

I watch as Aleia's little girl runs over to me, carrying her little flower girl basket with still a couple petals left.

"Hi Aurelia!" I say cheerfully.

"Hi Auntie!" She says with a cheekie smile.

It's contagious, I can't help but smile back.
She's just like her mommy.
It's like watching my best friend as a toddler.

She hands me a petal, and I gladly take it.

"Malachi say hi to your cousin" I say.
He waves.

Mitchel smiles, and leans in to kiss me.
"I love you" He says.
"I love you too" I respond as he gets up.

All the boys make their way on the platform and finish setting up mics.

Aleia makes her way over to me, picking up Aurelia and sitting next to me and Malachi.

Aurelia's middle name is Madison.
Maddie for short.
After me of course duh who else?
I cried when I saw the birth certificate.

She leans on my shoulder and wraps around me hugging me.

I would never imagine this being my life.
A kid and a Fiancé.
Right next to my best friend who just got married.

I wasn't supposed to make it to see this.
And even then, when I started living and stopped surviving, I still didn't think my life would look like this.

We hear Mitchel tap the mic.

"Hello everyone, as you may or may not know, we're Chase Atlantic!" He says cheerfully.

Me and Aleia look to each other smiling.

"This one's called Obsessive !" I hear him say as Kras plays the guitar, and soon he starts singing.

Me and Aleia get up, and start dancing with each other and our little kiddos.

This is my happy ending.
This is the life I deserve.

Soon the song ends.
"Thank You!" I hear Mitchel say, as he blows a kiss into the air, and then turns around to clean up.

I pick Malachi up swinging him back and forth.

Christian makes his way over to me.

"You know, I can't help but wonder what our kid would be like if it was me instead of Mitchel" He says.

"Dude. I can hear you from over here" Mitchel yells.

Christian lets out a laugh, and pinches Malachi's cheeks.

"He is cute though"

Mitchel makes his way over and plants a kiss on my cheek.

"Don't tell me you don't think about it too?What would have happened if it was
me? " Christian continues to go on.

"Alright time to go home, it's Malachi's bedtime!" Mitchel says grabbing my arm and dragging us along.

I wave goodbye to Aleia and Clinton, congratulating them, as Christian watches us leave from afar.

"I can't believe this man sometimes. Years later, I'm getting married to you, we have a kid, and he's still trying!" Mitchel jokes before leaning in to kiss me.
