Minjeong's pov

"But there's a problem, Minjeong," she suddenly said, her expression turning serious.

"What is it?" I replied, feeling a knot form in my stomach.

"Uh, my parents... they forced me to date someone you... don't like," Jimin said, hesitating before continuing. "His name is Jaewook, he's the son of a rich company, his fake personality hypnotized my parents.."

My heart sank at the mention of Jaewook. He was someone I hated, and the thought of Jimin being forced into a relationship with him made my chest tighten. I can't even imagine my bully.. with my "should've-been" girlfriend. I could see the distress in her eyes, and it only made me more determined to support her through this.

"Jimin, I'm so sorry you're going through this," I said, reaching out to hold her hand. "What do you want to do about it?"

She sighed, looking down at our hands. "I don't know. My parents have always had strong opinions about who I should be with, and they think Jaewook is the perfect match for me. But I don't have feelings for him, Minjeong. I never did. I want to be with someone I truly care about, someone like... you."

Her words filled me with a mix of hope and fear. "We'll figure this out together," I promised. "You don't have to go through this alone. We'll find a way to talk to your parents and make them understand how you feel."

Jimin nodded, tears brimming in her eyes. "Thank you, Minjeong. I was so scared to tell you, but I'm glad I did. It means a lot to have your support."

"We'll take it one step at a time, just like we said," I promised to her. "No matter what, I'll be here for you."

She smiled through her tears, squeezing my hand. "I'm really lucky to have you in my life, Minjeong."

"And I'm lucky to have you, too," I said softly. "We'll get through this, Jimin. Together."

As we sat there, holding hands and sharing our fears, I felt a renewed sense of determination. The road ahead might be challenging, but with Jimin by my side, I knew we could face anything.

The following days were a whirlwind of emotions and plans. Jimin and I spent hours discussing how we could approach her parents, trying to anticipate their reactions and come up with the best way to convey Jimin's feelings. We practiced what she would say, role-playing different scenarios until she felt more confident.

One evening, Jimin invited me over to her house to talk things through. We sat in her room, surrounded by familiar memories, and I could see the anxiety etched on her face.

"I know this isn't going to be easy," Jimin said, her voice trembling. "My parents are very traditional, and they have strong expectations. They think Jaewook is the perfect choice because of his family background and their long-standing friendship."

I nodded, understanding the weight of her words. "But what matters most is how you feel, Jimin. You deserve to be with someone you love, not someone chosen for you."

She took a deep breath, trying to steady her nerves. "I just hope they'll listen. I don't want to disappoint them, but I can't keep pretending to be happy with Jaewook."

We talked late into the night, reassuring each other and strengthening our resolve. The next morning, we decided it was time to confront her parents. Jimin asked them to sit down with us in the living room, and the atmosphere was tense.

"Mom, Dad, there's something I need to talk to you about," Jimin began, her voice steady but anxious. "I know you want the best for me, and I appreciate that. But I need you to understand that I'm not happy with Jaewook. I'm not in love with him."
